MAGNETIC OIL LEVEL GAUGE (MOG)

The PIONEER Gas & Oil Relay is a nearly ideals protective

device for protection of oil immersed Transformers. This is

available in three models.

The PIONEER Relay is particularly sensitive and simple

indicator of internal faults in Oil immersed Transformers. The

quick operation of alarm contact warns you once the fault is

initiated and in event of continuing fault, tripping contact

effectively limits the damage and reduces the cost or repairs by

isolating transformer from circuit.

The PIONEER Relay comprise of hinges Bucket and reed switch

assemble for both alarm and trip circuits. Entire assembly is in

a tight case which has two glass windows.

Alarm circuit operators in case of minor faults e.g. faults in core lamination, local overheating in

winding, bad connections, low Oil level etc. In case of major faults like short circuit between turns phase

and insulation breakdown etc, the trip switch will operate.

The PIONEER Relays are tested for routine tests laid down in I.S.3637 and periodically type tested to re-

validate design & manufacturing practices.

This gauge measures the contents of liquid inside a

static tank and continuously indicates the contents on

its calibrated scale. It has numerous application but in

transformer industry for visual indication of oil contents

inside the conservator vessel, this gauge is most

popular. Even electrical contacts are also provided to

establish indication on remote mode of abnormal

position.

GENERAL :

To mount the indicator, customer is required to provide

a suitable pad. The indicator is mounted vertically or at

inclination to facilitate easy viewing. Normally indicator

is mounted at the center of the flat end-cover of

conservator. This Depends weather conservator with

air cell or without and accordingly position may vary.

RADIATOR VALVE

The Radiator Valve is used on all oil cooled transformer to

control the flow of oil from transformer to radiator. The

valve is equipped with a butterfly flap moving on a pivot

which can be turned on to open. The valve remain in

open position when the transformer is on in operation.

In case of leakage from any of the radiator tubes/fins the

butterfly flap is closed and the tube of the radiator can be

replaced/repair.

The Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) is designed as a safety device be used on

Power Transformer and similar oil electrical equipments. When pressure in

tank rises beyond predetermined safe limit the PRV operates & performs

following function.

1.1 Reduces the pressure in the tank by instantaneously opening the port of

all models.

1.2 Operates switch / switches which can be used to initiate precautionary

electrical system.
