Benefits of using MAG-I-CAL • Improves fertilizer effectiveness for thicker,
greener lawns and improved weed control
• Releases “tied-up” nutrients
• Raises pH faster than lime
• Less dusty than lime
• Apply where moss grows to improve grass growth
• Supplies soluble calcium
Why is Calcium so important to lawns, flowers and vegetables? Calcium is essential for healthy, vigorous, plant growth and the proper development of strong cell walls, roots andleaves. It improves the lawns’ tolerance to the stresses of heat, drought and disease. Calcium controls the plantsuptake and utilization of water and nitrogen and improves soil texture.
HUMATESVisit our website for more information about humates.
www.jonathangreen.com
Dear Folks,My MAG-I-CAL is rich in calcium which is as essential in the development of new plants, as it is vital, in thecreation of strong bones. MAG-I-CAL contains soluble calcium, combined with an organic acid and humates, which are pelletized to make it easy to spread.
Once MAG-I-CAL comes into contact with the soil and water, it releases quickly to rapidly raise soil pH. This is important because desirable lawn grasses thrive in 6.0 to 6.8 pH soils while weeds persist in lower pH soils.Use my Jonathan Green Soil pH Test Kit to determine your pH level. Visit my website www.jonathangreen.comto answer your pH questions and compare your test results.
MAG-I-CAL will re-energize your lawn and lawns fed with MAG-I-CAL are more vigorous, due to improvedwater filtration, aeration and an increase in the growth of beneficial micro-organisms. With MAG-I-CAL youwill save time, money and your back. Use my MAG-I-CAL once or twice a year and you will have the BestLawn and Garden In Town.
• Encourages faster seed germination and new root growth
• Use anytime of the year*• Use anywhere instead of lime
• No-phosphorous for water sensitive communities
• A natural choice for healthy soil

What is pH? The pH range defines the relative acidity or alkalinity of soil. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14 with 7 beingneutral. Levels below 7 are acidic and above 7 are alkaline. pH affects the chemical and biological activities inthe soil and must be in the correct range for plants to achieve their optimum potential. Grass grows best witha soil pH range between 6.0 to 6.8
If you are not sure of your soil pH, a soil test kit, available from your local dealer, can be helpful. Your localextension office also can provide soil testing. Proper pH levels increase soilmicrobial activity, which aids in thatch reduction. Proper soil pH improves theeffectiveness of fertilizer and weed controls.
Sincerely yours,
