I used the school colours for the magazine as it was the most selected option in my survey results, it is also the best option for a school magazine because it gives the reader the impression that it is about the school and is more inclined to buy it. The use of the pug is to also to entice in people to buy and read the magazine, the use of giving away something for free makes the audience think that they are getting more for their money. The strapline contains the school motto so relates the magazine to the school through first glance. I have used box outs to make the text stand out more as the background is very colourful so I gave it a contrasting colour which still fits with the school colours, this makes it easier for the audience to read the different topics covered in the magazine, I believe it also makes the front cover look more aesthetically pleasing. The mast head is in the top left corner as this is usually the first place the reader will look when glancing at the cover of the magazine, I have made it

easy to read by giving it a simple bold text so it still stands out and look good. I do think that the masthead could have been made larger so it stands out more and using a different colour other than blue as it blends in with the text box. I also believe I should of added the school badge near the masthead to fill up the large space at the top and to relate the magazine more to the school. Finally, I think I should of added a picture of a pupil of the school in the lower section of the magazine but I thought it would look too cluttered.
