Aboriginal Friendship Society Centre The Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society (VAFCS) was registered in 1963 under the British Columbia Act as a non profit organization. The Centre has been providing quality programs and services to the community for over 50 years. Mission Statement: To provide practical tools for accomplishing our visionary ends through socio economic programs and services that empowers self reliance; responsibility; success and prosperity, for all urban Aboriginal individuals, family and community. The mandate of the centre is to meet the needs of the urban Aborigi-nal People making a transition to the urban community. TECH: Anne Daroussin - Originally from France, I am a Vancouver-based Stage & Production Manager with 10 years of experience in performing arts and film. ASSISTANTS: Ileanna Cheladyn, Hayley Gawthrop MUSIC: Zahra Sahab / VIDEO: Abigail Markowitz and Asad Yahya WRITER: Carolina Bergonzoni - I am privileged to be a dance artist and scholar based on the unceded Coast Sal-ish territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. I hold a BA and an MA in Philosophy (University of Bologna, Italy), an MA in Comparative Media Arts (Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada) and I am currently a PhD student in Arts Education at SFU. My research interests include dance, disability, phenom-enology, arts-based research and dance education. My academic work has been published in Italian and Canadian journals. Since 2011, I have been working toward building communities of movers and thinkers. I work with the integrated dance company All Bodies Dance Project and I continue to perform, create, and spread my love for movement as an independent dance artist.
