From motorcycles to potato chips, York County offers a glimpse behind the scenes at the making of some of America's favorite products. In addition, York County is a great place to explore the rich history of Pennsylvania and the United States. The first capital of the United States, York provides a number of unique museums and historic sites. Highlights of your tour could include: Martin’s Potato Chips Central Pennsylvania is considered by many to be the snack food capital of the world. From the farm kitchen of Harry and Fairy Martin, back in 1941, a unique potato chip found its way into the hearts and homes of York County. Business soon outgrew the kitchen. The Martin's built a small factory and expanded their distribution from delivering fresh daily to market stands, to also selling to mom and pop grocery stores. Enjoy our Kettle Cook'd chips hot off the line! Tour: 1 hour. Only on Tuesday York City Pretzel Company Downtown York’s newest attraction, York City's first craft pretzel bakery is now open. Guests will have a team member talk to the group and give the history of soft pretzels, describe the different types and ways of making them and even show the group how there are made. Everyone will receive a soft pretzel after the presentation. Turkey Hill Experience The 26,000 square foot Turkey Hill Experience in Columbia pays homage to Turkey Hill Dairy’s history while highlighting its ice cream and iced tea-making processes. The Experience includes interactive exhibits (including a chance to make your own ice cream flavor), a café, a gift shop, and lots of other fun things for the entire group! Tour: approx. 1 hour National Watch and Clock Museum Experience the treasures of time! From the moment you enter our marble entranceway and beautiful rotunda, you will see why thousands of visitors from around the world have come to experience North America’s largest collection of timekeeping artifacts. Soaps are made using pure vegetable, coconut and olive oils, shea butter, cocoa butter, castor oil, offering a wide – and sometimes wild – selection of fragrances to please everyone. The energetic, 45-minute demonstration will show you how these natural oils are used to make specialty soaps and lotions. Colonial Complex Tour the gem of downtown York, once the capital of

the Unites States. Walk through the same doorways

and rooms where Continental Army generals and

congressmen forged history. Included are the 1741

Golden Plough Tavern, the adjoining General Gates

House, Barbett Bobb Log House and reconstructed

Colonial Court House. Tour: 45 minutes

QVC Studio Tour This has become a popular destination for 1000’s of

visitors interested in seeing live TV at its best!

the studio space from the observation deck, where
