Conclusions BD is a function of the porosity.

So this means that when the BD is high the porosity is low and when the porosity is high BD is low. When you plot this function you get a linear line.

Page 16: Made by: Lynn, Susu and Machiel

Affects of vermiculite Vermiculite improves the porosity in soils

with “sandy base”. Vermiculite improves the BD in soils with

a “peat and perlite base”. Vermiculite improves the porosity in soils

with a “manure and sand base” Vermiculite improves the porosity in soils

with a “ clay loam base”

Page 17: Made by: Lynn, Susu and Machiel

Affects of Zeolite Zeolite improves the porosity in soils with

“sandy base”. Zeolite improves the BD in soils with a “pe

at and perlite base”. Zeolite improves the porosity in soils with

a “manure and sand base” Zeolite improves the porosity in soils with

a “ clay loam base”

Which group is the best?We think the substrates with the

are the best, because this substrates doesn't have great significant difference.
