My name is Brad Gordon, and I am a second-year PhD student in Water Resources Science. My re- search consists of linking vegetation with water quality through studying the ecology of constructed agricultural treatment wetlands and vegetation in eroding ravines. The Colin MacLaurin Fellows Program has been a blessing in my life. It has challenged me to be more conscious of my faith in every aspect of my studies and has provided an amazing source of Christian fellowship at the U of M. The Fellows Program has given me the opportunity to ask challenging questions about how I can glorify God in my studies and work. Each fellows meet- ing is saturated with encouraging discussions about how every subject, every field, and every form of work was created for worshipping and glorifying God. I now have a greater joy in my research, my workplace, and my encounters with others in their respective fields because I’m more conscious of my Creator’s presence in each corner of his creation.

  • My name is Brad Gordon, and I am a second-year PhD student in Water Resources Science. My re-search consists of linking vegetation with water quality through studying the ecology of constructed agricultural treatment wetlands and vegetation in eroding ravines.

Each fellows meet-ing is saturated with encouraging discussions about how every subject, every field, and every form of work was created for worshipping and glorifying God. I now have a greater joy in my research, my workplace, and my encounters with others in their respective fields because Im more conscious of my Creators presence in each corner of his creation.

  • The Colin MacLaurin Fellows Program brings together a small cohort of 10-12 U of M ju-niors, seniors, and graduate and professional students for a year of theological and voca-tional formation. Fellows will think about:

A Christian vision of education Biblical and theological resources

for academic life Contemporary challenges to Christian

life and thought A theology of vocation

The Colin MacLaurin Fellows program is competitive and interdisciplinary; students in any field may apply.
