How  to  configure  the  “mail”  application  on  a  Mac  for  use  with  CSN  email:  

 1. Open  Finder  and  search  Applications.  2. Scroll  down  to  Mail,  and  open  it,  the  Mail  application  will  open.  If  you  do  not  

already  have  an  email  account  configured  on  your  device,  you  will  immediately  be  prompted  to  choose  what  type  of  Mail  Account  you  wish  to  create:

 3. Choose  “Exchange.”  

4. If  you  already  have  a  previous  email  account  created  in  Mail,  you  will  need  to  add  a  new  account.  Do  this  by  choosing  “Mail”,  “Add  Account”.

 5. Then  choose  “Exchange”  from  the  next  window  (same  as  Step  3  above).  

 

6. After  choosing  “Exchange”,  a  new  dialogue  box  will  open.  You  will  be  prompted  to  enter  your  name,  email  address  and  password.  Enter  the  required  information  in  the  appropriate  fields.    Note:  Student  email  addresses  are  formatted  as  first  initial,  last  name,  graduationyear@communityschoolnaples.org.    I.E.  “mmouse2020@communityschoolnaples.org”.  

 7. Click  “Continue”.  8. In  the  next  box  enter  a  description  for  this  email  account.  Type  “CSN”  in  this  

field.  In  the  server  address  field  type  “mail.communityschoolnaples.org”.  

Then  click  “Continue”.

 9. You  should  then  be  greeted  by  an  Account  Summary  screen.  Click  “Continue”:

 

10. Then  choose  which  services  you  would  like  to  synch.  By  default  “Mail”  is  chosen,  leave  it  as  such  and  click  “Done”:

 11. Your  CSN  email  account  is  now  configured.
