VISION The vision of the Monument Academy Parent Teacher Organization’s

Green4Green Campaign is to replace the existing on site dirt field with a

usable recreation area for all students to expand their physical, emotional

and social opportunities.

MISSION To create a safe, inclusive and user friendly recreation area for MA

students through collaborative efforts with MA’s administration, school

board, teachers, students, MA PTO and the community

INSPIRATION The inspiration for the recreation area is the nearly 900 MA students who

currently play on a hard packed dirt surface, which restricts the extent to

which they are able to play outdoors. The surface becomes unusable af-

ter rainy weather resulting in pools of retained water and mud. This ad-

verse situation remains for several days after inclement weather because

of poor drainage.

Monument Academy sets the gold standard in providing numerous oppor-

tunities for its student to excel academically. The success of MA PTO

Green4Green Campaign will enhance MA’s ability to offer outdoor recrea-

tional areas and most importantly expand the physical, emotional and so-

cial opportunities for its students.

PROJECTED RECREATION AREA CONFIGURATION AND DETAILS

Phase 1: Create a 135’ by 135’ square field over the dirt lot – June 2016

Phase 2: Color seal coat the black top for the basketball court and play

areas, paint mural on concrete wall and landscaping of the hillside and

north and south sides of the concrete sidewalk

Phase 3: Work with administration to improve the existing playground area

If a group is bidding on one item, please designate one person to place your combined bid. Auction items will be awarded to one purchaser only. A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item.

Registration for the live/silent auction; food stations; and beverages are included in the cost of the ticket. Mocktail beverage tickets may be purchased at registration for $3.00. You will receive your BID NUMBER when you check in at the registration table. Use only the BID NUMBER assigned to you for bidding on both LIVE and SILENT auction items. BID NUMBERS are individually assigned.

SILENT AUCTION RULES

SILENT AUCTION (Multi-Purpose Room): All tables open for bidding at 5:00 pm. White Tables close at 6:40 pm Green Tables close at 7:00 pm The minimum bid (opening bid) and minimum raise for each item is written on the bid sheet by the item. Incremental bid raises may not be altered and will not be honored. To place a bid, enter only your BID NUMBER on the line of the amount to which are bidding. When you write in your BID NUMBER, it constitutes a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item at the price stated, if your bid is the winning bid. The last (highest) valid bid entered prior to the section closing will be the winning bid. The G4G auction committee reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time without notice before the actual sale. In the event of a dispute, the auction committee shall act as final authority in determining the winning bid.

Brunch and a show with Miss Floyd – This event will take place in Pueblo as Ms. Floyd will be performing with her brother in his Senior Recital on March 22nd. Hosted brunch before the recital will be provided. The student (and a guest) will get a back stage pass before the recital, VIP seating during the per-formance, and an invitation to stay for a reception immediately following.

MARTY VENTICINQUE

Step into the ring with Mr. V! Learn the basic skills of kick boxing with this one hour instructor class.

MARTHA JOHNSTON This is a group item donated by the MA Elementary School Special's Teachers to include two (2) events. The first event is for four (4) tickets to attend the Monument Academy Talent Show scheduled on March 11th at MA. The second event is for the donors and the highest bidder plus 3 friends who will have the unique opportunity to meet in a private reserved room at Wesley Owen Coffee and Cafe (Located in the Woodmoor Center Pla-za, 1744 Lake Woodmoor Drive - Monument). A beverage of choice, plus par-ticipating in the latest trend of adult coloring books (age appropriate coloring books) with all supplies provided by the teachers; coupled by lots of fun with a group of friends and teachers.

The bidder and Ms. Coyne will decide what the outing will entail - some suggestions offered by Ms. Coyne are a visit to Garden of the Gods, Den-ver Museum of Natural History and Science, or a dinner and a movie.

Fly Fishing and MORE:The highest bidder will not only receive fly fishing les-sons from Mr. Herbert but all equipment, flies and LUNCH will also be provided on the river. You and your catch will also be memorialized by photographs taken by Mr. Herbert so that you can confirm that the big one "DIDN'T GET AWAY"!

Check out must be completed BEFORE childcare pickup. Check out for all items will open after the live auction concludes. All items must be paid in FULL by the end of the evening. Cash and Check payment is preferred. Although, we accept

MasterCard, VISA and American Express credit cards. At the time of payment, please return your BID NUMBER CARD. Once you have paid for your any of your winning items (both

SILENT and LIVE), you will be issued a receipt. Present your receipt at the PICK UP table to claim your items. It is

the responsibility of the purchaser to pick up winning item (s) by the end of the auction.

No items will be held for future pick up.
