Rocket Separation Overview
The Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection approved the Class II permit
modification on November 27, 2013.
Construction contracts for the modification are scheduled to be awarded in
mid December 2013.
The Blue Grass Chemical Activity continues to conduct exercises, dry-runs, rehearsals
and training for proficiency and certification. The Chemical Materials Activity (CMA) will
certify the operation prior to commencement.
Schedule:
CMA Site Visit completed (2-6 December 2013)
Igloo Modification: January 2014 - February 2014
Pre-Op Survey: March 2014
Begin Operations: Late March 2014
Notifications will be made to the CAC/CDCAB, elected officials, congressional liaisons, and
media prior to the start of operations and updates will be provided throughout the operation.
