The Red Cross teaches everyday people to be lifesaving heroes through CPR, First Aid and AED training. It’s one of the ways we help prepare for and prevent emergencies.

Red Cross workers relay urgent messages between U.S. service members and their families through our global communication network. The Red Cross also supports military families, veterans hospitals and wounded warrior programs.

When disaster strikes, Red Cross workers are ready to provide a place to sleep, warm meals, clothing, counseling and hope. We also train volunteers, scout shelter locations and pre-position supplies to be able to respond faster.
Bringing Relief, Offering HopeYou Can Make a Difference
The Wyoming Red Cross provided 438 emergency communication services to local members of the armed forces and sent 100 care packages.
In Fiscal Year 2013, the Wyoming Red Cross trained 14,135 people in lifesaving skills like CPR.
The Wyoming Red Cross trained 1,843 individuals in disaster preparedness so they can be more resilient in the face of disasters.
The Wyoming Red Cross responded to 60 disasters, helped 76 families and sheltered 209.
In addition to responding to disasters and emergencies, the Red Cross helps people prepare for and prevent them. Individuals, families, businesses and organizations that prepare are better able to withstand and bounce back after disaster strikes.
