rigadoon is a romantic

musical fantasy set in an

enchanted Scottish village

which comes out of the

Highland mists once every

100 years only to disappear again after only

one day. Two American travelers stumble

upon Brigadoon on the day it comes to life.

The Americans, one romantic, one cynical,

are given the choice, after falling in love

with two lovely Scottish lasses, of remaining

in Brigadoon or going back to the modern

world. It is indeed a celebration of the power

of love. Since it’s opening on Broadway in

1947 Brigadoon has become one of the best

loved musicals of all time. Lerner & Loewe’s

wonderful musical score features such gems

as The Heather on the Hill, Almost like

being in Love, I’ll Go Home with Bonnie Jean

and Come to Me, Bend to Me.

She has studied dance with Ross Colman and intense opera with Jim Vile, as well as Masterclasses with Anne Wood and Nancy Hayes. In conjunction with Shawn O’Boyle she has recorded a children’s CD. She made her debut with us playing the delightful Ado Annie in “Oklahoma” followed by the zany Gladys in “The Pajama Game” and last year as she was expecting the pitter patter of tiny feet she was Assistant Director for “Annie Get Your Gun”. However this year we see her treading the boards in the comedy role of Meg.
