She feels the demons are stuck inside her. The Demons want to escape from inside her body. Societies’ expectations of her are better, saying she will be better if she becomes like their expectations. She has to get out of her state of mind and become her ‘demons’. Demons, being the supposed expectations of society. It’s her choice, but it’s not what society want. She isn’t conforming to society, which is why the Demons then get angry and attempt to burst out. Making herself adhere and fit into society’s regime and regulations of what a teenager should be like.
