Setting up ASUS Lyra Voice as Router Before we begin, here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Lyra Voice (Including AC adapter)

Ethernet cable

ASUS Router App (Available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store)

Broadband connection

Optical Network Terminal(ONT) or Modem

Step 1 1. Download the ASUS Router App from Apple App Store(iOS) or Google Play Store(Android)

Step 2 1. Plug in the AC adapter to an electrical outlet and connect to Lyra Voice.

2. Connect one end of Ethernet cable to the WAN port of Lyra Voice and the other end to the

ONT.

3. Power on both the Lyra Voice and ONT.

4. Lyra Voice is ready for set up once you see a spinning white LED on the front.

Step 3 1. Open the ASUS Router App and select ‘I want to setup a new network’.

2. Select ‘Set up an ASUS Lyra series router’ and the app will begin to search for available Lyra

devices nearby.

3. Select ‘Lyra Voice(ASUS_xx_AMAPS)’ and the app will now connect to Lyra Voice.

4. Select ‘Setup a new Wi-Fi network (Router Mode)’.

5. Select ‘Next’ once you have verified that Lyra Voice is connected to ONT via Ethernet cable.

6. Select the location where Lyra Voice will be placed.

7. Select ‘Continue’ to begin connecting Lyra Voice to the internet.

8. Enter your preferred SSID(Wi-Fi Name) and Network Key(Wi-Fi password).

9. Enter your preferred username and password for administrator account and select

‘Confirm’. You will need to have these details to login and manage Lyra Voice settings in the future.

10. ASUS Router App will now apply the settings which you have just entered. This may take up

to 3 minutes.

11. Go to phone Wi-Fi settings and connect to the new Wi-Fi network that you have just

created. Return to the ASUS Router App.

12. You are done! You have successfully configured Lyra Voice as a router.

Amazon account login for new/existing users. 1. Select ‘Sign in with Amazon’ to link Lyra Voice with Amazon

Alexa.

For users without Amazon account 1. Select ‘Create a new Amazon account’.

2. Enter your name, email address, and password into respective fields and select ‘Create your

Amazon account’. Upon completing this step, you now have an Amazon account.

3. Select ‘Allow’ to grant Lyra Voice access to Alexa Voice Service.

4. Choose ‘Singapore’ from the drop down list and select ‘Next’.

5. Select preferred language for Alexa. In this case, we are going with ‘English (United States)’.

6. Congratulations! You have successfully set up Lyra Voice as a router with Alexa voice control

enabled!

For users with existing Amazon account 1. Enter your Amazon account login credentials and select ‘Sign in’.

2. Select ‘Allow’ to grant Amazon access for Lyra Voice.

3. Select preferred language for Alexa. In this case, we are going with ‘English (United States)’.

4. Congratulations! You have successfully set up Lyra Voice as a router with Alexa voice control

enabled!

Setting up ASUS Lyra Voice as AiMesh node (Requires an existing AiMesh

router) Before we begin, here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Lyra Voice (Including AC adapter)

ASUS Router App (Available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store)

Existing AiMesh router that is already set up. (Eg, RT-AC88U, RT-AC86U, RT-AC5300 etc.) Note: If you are unsure whether your existing router supports AiMesh, visit https://www.asus.com/sg/aimesh/ to

find out.

Step 1 You will need the ASUS Router App to proceed.

1. Download the ASUS Router App from Apple App Store(iOS) or Google Play Store(Android)

Step 2 Ensure your device is connected to the Wi-Fi network of your existing AiMesh router.

1. Open up the ASUS Router App. The App will automatically search for ASUS router on your

network.

2. Select ‘I want to manage the router my device is currently connecting’.

3. Select the existing ASUS AiMesh router (eg. RT-AC88U, RT-AC86U, etc.)

4. Sign in with your ASUS router account. This is the account created when you first set up the router. If you have forgotten the username and

password, you will need to reset the ASUS router. To reset the router, refer to:

Step 3 Now that we have access to the AiMesh router, we can add Lyra Voice as AiMesh node.

1. Power on Lyra Voice and wait for it to boot up. You should see a spinning white LED on the

front once it is ready.

2. On the ASUS Router App, select the ‘+’ icon located on the top right corner.

3. Select ‘Add AiMesh Node’

4. Select ‘Search’ and the app will now search for Lyra Voice.

5. Select the newly found ‘Lyra Voice(ASUS_xx_AMAPS)’ from the list. The Wi-Fi icon on the right shows the signal strength between Lyra Voice and the AiMesh router. If the

signal strength is weak, you should position Lyra Voice nearer to the AiMesh router.

6. Select ‘OK’ to add Lyra Voice to existing AiMesh network. This may take 3-5 minutes.

7. Congratulations! Lyra Voice is successfully configured as AiMesh node.

Setting up ASUS Lyra Voice as Wi-Fi Extender (Requires existing Wi-Fi router)

This mode allows you to extend your current Wi-Fi signal.

Before we begin, here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Lyra Voice (Including AC adapter)

ASUS Router App (Available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store)

Existing Wi-Fi router that is already set up. (Eg, ASUS router, other router)

Step 1 You will need the ASUS Router App to proceed.

1. Download the ASUS Router App from Apple App Store(iOS) or Google Play Store(Android)

Step 2 1. Open up the ASUS Router App.

2. Select ‘I want to set up a new network’.

3. Select ‘Set up an ASUS Lyra series router’. The App will now search for Lyra Voice.

4. Select the newly found ‘Lyra Voice(ASUS_xx_AMAPS)’.

5. Select ‘Connect to an existing Wi-Fi network(Repeater Mode)’.

6. Select a location where you will be placing the Lyra Voice.

7. Select the Wi-Fi signal that you would like to extend.

8. Enter the password of the existing Wi-Fi network and select ‘Next’ on the top right corner.

9. Enter your preferred Wi-Fi name and password for Lyra Voice. Select ‘Confirm’ once you are

done.

10. Enter your preferred username and password for administrator account and select

‘Confirm’. You will need to have these details to login and manage Lyra Voice settings in the future.

11. ASUS Router App will now apply the settings which you have just entered. This may take up

to 3 minutes.

12. Go to phone Wi-Fi settings and connect to the new Wi-Fi network that you have just

created. Return to the ASUS Router App.

13. Congratulations! Lyra Voice is successfully configured as Wi-Fi Extender.

How to add Alexa Skills

Skills are voice-driven capabilities that enhance and personalize your Alexa devices. You can also

connect compatible smart home devices, such as lights and plugs, to Alexa. In this example, we will

be adding ‘Sleep Sounds’ as a Skill.

Step 1 1. Visit alexa.amazon.com via browser. If you are using mobile web browser, be sure to select

‘Request Desktop site’.

Note: For iOS users, select and hold onto the ‘Refresh’ button until the pop up message appears.

2. Sign using your Amazon account.

3. Select the Menu button and go to ‘Skills’.

Step 2 1. Type ‘Sleep Sounds’ in the search column.

2. Select ‘Sleep Sounds’

3. Select ‘Enable’ and wait for the Skill to be added.

4. That’s it! You have successfully enabled ‘Sleep Sound’ as a Skill. Get started by saying ‘Alexa,

ask Sleep Sounds for rain and ocean sounds’.

If you have added a smart home device skills, ask Alexa to discover your device. Say,

"Discover my devices," or select Add Device in the Devices section of the Alexa app.

How to change region/location of Lyra Voice You can configure the location of each Alexa-enabled devices. This setting allows you to get localized

time and weather conditions.

Step 1 1. Visit alexa.amazon.com via browser. If you are using mobile web browser, be sure to select

‘Request Desktop site’.

Note: For iOS users, select and hold onto the ‘Refresh’ button until the pop up message appears.

2. Sign using your Amazon account.

3. Select the Menu button and go to ‘Settings’.

Step 2 1. Under devices section, select the device that you would like to customize. In this case,

Lyra Voice.

2. Under the ‘General’ section, select ‘Edit’ to change the location of Lyra Voice. Once you are

done, select ‘Save’ to update the settings. The device time zone will also be automatically

updated.

3. That’s it! Your device location has been successfully configured. You can start by saying

‘Alexa, what’s the time now?’

How to set up Spotify on Alexa Note: To link Spotify to Alexa you must have a Spotify Premium account.

Important: The follow steps are necessary in order to link Spotify to Alexa.

Step 1 1. Go to the www.amazon.com on your desktop or mobile browser. Log in to your account.

Click on account and select ‘Content and Devices’.

2. Click on the ‘Preference’ tab and expand ‘Country/Region Settings’.

3. Set the country to United States. You will need to enter a valid US address. For this set up,

you may use the address in the example below. Once you are done, select the ‘Update’

button to apply the changes.

(Note: This will not affect your existing delivery addresses for Amazon orders)

Step 2 Now that you have successfully updated the country/region settings. We can proceed to link Spotify

to your Amazon Alexa account. For users who have the Amazon Alexa App on your iOS or Android

devices, you can perform the same via the App.

2. Sign using your Amazon account.

3. Select ‘United States’ and click ‘Continue’.

4. Select the Menu button and go to ‘Settings’.

5. Select ‘Music and Media’

6. Select the Spotify icon to link your existing Spotify Premium account.

Enter your Spotify account log in details to proceed.

7. Congratulations! You have successfully linked your Spotify account to Alexa!
