Lyneham Outdoor spaces

There are about four people walking, riding, or sitting around the wetland pond at any one time. Cyclists frequent the bicycle paths throughout the suburb. Apart from the schools, which are full of children, the busiest area is probably the little hub of the local shops. During the day, there seems to be mostly retirees out walking their dogs, at the caf, and grocery shopping.

Just across MacArthur Avenue, in the neighbouring suburb of OConnor, there is an oval where people with pet dogs catch up casually to walk and socialize their dogs. This occurs mornings around 7 am, and evenings around 5pm.

There is a park with a playground around the wetlands pond. This gives families with children a sense of belonging as it provides a welcoming space to be active outside in a beautiful setting.
