Lust is excited to invite you to enter the 2017 Lust Colour Competition. With colour trends still prominent around pastel tones, bright brilliant shades and everything in between, Lust colour is the perfect partner for your creativity! Senior colourists as well as junior stylists are welcome to take part in this exciting journey.CATEGORIESTO ENTER, SELECT FROM ONE OF THE FOUR CATEGORIES BELOW TO BASE YOUR LUST COLOUR ENTRY AROUND. FOR EVERY ENTRY YOU MUST SELECT ONE CATEGORY.

HOW TO ENTER?• Decide which category to enter.• Select a model that will best suit and promote your desired

look. Model selection is extremely important.• Read the rules. It is important you fully understand and

follow the rules to avoid disqualification.• Take two before photos. 1 x PHOTO will be a portrait shot,

front on showing the model’s hair before you start any work. 1 x PHOTO to be taken prior to the Lust colour application.

• Create your desired look with colour, cut and styling on your model making a significant change to their current style. Lust colour must be the focus of your overall look.

• Fill in the required Lust colour competition entry form using as much information as possible and document each step of your look.

• Take two after photos. 1 x PHOTO will be a portrait shot, front on showing your finished colour, cut and style. 1 x PHOTO of your choice to display the colour, cut and style but posing the model how you feel will show off your end result better.

• Post your completed entry form to Lust Colour Competition, PO Box 5281, Frankton, Hamilton 3242 (Please refer to checklist on reverse).

• Entries must use Lust Colour exclusively on their models for the BOLD and PASTEL categories. However, in the FREESTYLE category other base colours and reflect shades may be used to platform your Lust colour.

• All entries are $30.

WINNERSThe top entrants from each category will be selected for the final judging.

Salon Collection entries will be judged against other Salon Collection entrants and a winner will be selected.

Bold, Pastel and Freestyle categories will be judged together and the overall winner, 2nd Place and 3rd Place will be selected from judging the 3 categories. This could be from the same or different categories depending on the judging.

There will also be a People’s Choice Award voted the best from all entries on the Lust Facebook page. The most likes on your photo on the Lust Facebook page will win so it is recommended to share the Lust Facebook post to all avenues possible to ensure votes.

Any negative communication, either written or verbal, between competition entrants or their supporters could result in one or all entrants involved being disqualified. This decision will be handled and made by Lust Ltd.

The best entries will be selected to enter the People’s Choice Award.

JUDGING / TIPS & HINTS The judges will be looking for the highest creative and technical skill in colour, cut and styling. The stylist’s creativity should demonstrate a significant change to the model’s hair style and colour, while achieving a beautiful end result. Your finished Lust colour look needs to adhere to the following requirements:

• Technical skill must be shown in the colour and complemented by the cut and style.

• Make the detail of the colour, cut and style clearly visible and the focus in the after photos.

• Model, makeup, wardrobe and background choices must be heavily considered as they will reflect in the overall appearance of the after photos and the Lust look.

• A plain background is suggested. • Model does not have to be professional but must be

photogenic and present a professional look.• All hair types and lengths can be used.• No artificial hair pieces/extensions shall be used.• The finished Lust colour look should fit with looks that are

currently on trend and be of high quality.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPSChoose a photographer who knows and understands what you are trying to accomplish with your finished look and can assist you in achieving this. Consideration of lighting, model poses are important.

MODEL SELECTION TIPSModel selection is very important. Choose a model you can communicate well with, and who is comfortable in front of the camera. Make sure your model is willing to change her hair to what your ideal end result is and will present your look well.

WARDROBE TIPSWardrobe and styling must compliment the overall look and should not detract the focus from the hair. Clothing and accessories should also reflect current trends and be flattering to the model.

MAKEUP TIPSMakeup needs to be an enhancement to the colour, cut and style. Use shades that accentuate your hair colour choices.
