The Performer Born in Venice (Italy) in 1986, Gloria Campaner is considered one of the most talented young Italian pianists of the new generation. She began her piano studies at the age of four with Daniela Vidali; at five years old she gave her first public recital and when she was 12, she made her debut as a soloist with the Venetian Symphonia Orchestra. From the very first year of studies, she won the 1st Prize in more than twenty national and international piano competitions for young musicians. Her rapidly advancing career as a soloist with Orchestra and as a chamber musician has led her to many concert performances in Italy and abroad (Japan, Israel, Turkey, Kazakhstan, England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, France and South America ), always receiving the highest acclaim from the international press for her "extremely deep musicality (...) reached with a naturally refined sound and an extraordinary intelligence in her musical phrasing".

Ms. Campaner is 1st Prize Winner and "Prokofiev Special Award" at the prestigious “2009 Ibla Grand Prize” with a debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City and a wirhlwind tour in the USA in 2010; she is also laureate of many others international contests : Paderewsky International Competition (Los Angeles – USA, 2010) with 2 special awards "J. Paderewsky" and "F. Chopin"), Gaetano Zinetti International Music Prize (Sanguinetto – Italy, 2010), Cantù International Piano and Orchestra Competition (Como, 2009), European Piano Competition (Le Havre – France 2009), International TIM Competition (Verona – Italy, 2008), Rospigliosi International Piano Competition - R. Schumann Prize (Pistoia – Italy, 2008); Società Umanitaria Competition (Milan – Italy, 2007).

After graduating at 18 years old from her conservatory studies, she earned her Master Degree summa cum laude under the tutelage of Bruno Mezzena at the Music Academy of Pescara. Meanwhile she has been selected to participate in many musical masterclasses throughout Europe, like Ticino-Musica (Lugano, Switzerland), Accademia Incontri col Maestro (Imola, Italy), Mozarteum (Salzburg) and the US, like Mannes College of New York. She took part at the courses of many outstanding musicians such as J. Swann, J. Rose, S. Perticaroli, B. Lupo, N. Troull, A. Jasinskij, M. Tirimo, O. Kern, D. Bashkirov. She's presently studying under the guidance of K. Bogino in Italy, as well as attending the "Konzertexam" Diploma at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Prof. Fany Solter.

St Martin-in-the-Fields has welcomed talented musicians to this central London platform for over 50 years - from highly acclaimed young soloists, to choirs from all over the world; from promising new ensembles, to established professionals. This tradition is supported by the generosity of our performers as well as our audiences. Whilst these concerts are free to all, for those able to give, a suggested donation of £3.50 would be greatly appreciated to help fund all aspects of the work at St Martin‟s.
