Survey participation benefits your practice• Answers this age-old question: are you providing

competitive salary and benefits to your staff when compared to your peers?

• Free copy of the report when you participate – The MGMA Management Compensation and Production Survey

sells for $590 for non-national members and $195 for national MGMA members. The MGMA Physician Compensation survey is an additional $475 for non-members. THAT’S REAL VALUE!

• Free continuing education for completion– MGMA gives you up to four credit hours of continuing education

for the completion of the Compensation and Production Survey.


What is the survey?

Maryland MGMA partnered in 2015 with the national association to provide state-specific data on staff salaries.• State-survey is bundled into the 2015 MGMA

Compensation and Production Survey– Management and staff salaries (Staff section)– Physician compensation– Production for clinicians

• Data will be available to participants in late-spring or early summer.


Do I have to take the entire survey?

• No, you do not have to complete the entire survey to be eligible to receive your free copy of the Salary Survey.


What’s required?

• Practice Profile– Fiscal year– Practice type– Majority practice owner– Number of full-time equivalent (FTE) physicians, nonphysician

providers, and support staff in practice– Total medical revenue

• Staff Demographics– Position title– Centralized staff position (yes/no)– Annual compensation (management staff)– Annual and/or hourly compensation (support staff)– Full-time equivalent (FTE)

What you need before the survey

• Participation closes on March 13, 2015• Pull selected reports

– Payroll: number of full-time equivalents (FTE) physician, nonphysician providers and staff

– Staff information: Titles• Annual compensation (management)• Annual and/or hourly compensation (support staff)• Full-time equivalent

– Physician information: Specialty/ies• Annual compensation• Full-time equivalent


What you need before the survey

– Work: Percent breakout of clinical work, administrative and other activities

– Billing and AR• Provider work and total RVUs• Technical component inclusion• Incident-to inclusion (do NPPs bill under their own numbers)• Any other external provider inclusion
