Welcome! We are pleased to invite you to LUGI Judo Events 2013.

Never ending story… LUGI Judo Events is organized for the 35th time and it continues to grow and become more popular

every year. The arrangement is unique because you can participate in so many different judo

activities during the same weekend. One-Stop-Judo-Shop!

Approximately one thousand people participate each year in the event. Participants come from all

over Europe. Sometimes we even get visitors from New Zealand, Australia and the USA.

LUGI Judo Camp As usual we are inviting a world class team of well-known coaches. You will be instructed by skilled

instructors from several different countries. Do not miss this very special opportunity!

Visiting club coaches and leaders We encourage all club instructors and leaders to take an active part in the activities on the mat

during LUGI Judo Camp. This will give you a good opportunity to study and learn new judo

techniques, moreover new ways to teach judo. It is a very superior method for bringing home “new

stuff” to the club and you get a better value for your money.

Extra Events this year This year we will have two additional events. A course for elite coaches, which is open to all

nationalities, and a course for Swedish judges.

Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö! Since 2008, the Eurovision Song Contest consists of three live shows, aired prime-time to millions of

homes across Europe. During two Semi-Finals, viewers and juries across Europe determine which

countries will be represented in the Final.

First Semi-Final. Tuesday 14 May

Second Semi-Final. Thursday 16 May

The Grand Final. Saturday, 18 May

This means that there will be great shortage of hotel rooms in the region Lund and Malmö. A good

advice is that you send in your registration as soon as possible. Ideally now!

BUDO-NORD Cup 2013

Weighing In Date Wednesday 8 May from 18.00-21:00.

Competition Date Thursday 9 May at 09:00.

Venue Färs & Frosta Sparbank ARENA, Klostergårdens Idrottsområde, Stattenavägen, SE-222 28 Lund.

Rules The competition will be conducted according to the Contest Rules, Organization Code and Sporting

Code of the Swedish Judo Federation (www.judo.se). Swedish Judo Federation is a member of EJU

and IJF.

Clarification of/and Additional Rules At the time of weighing-in the fee receipts must be presented.

If there are too few participants in a weight category, they will be moved to a higher weight

and/or age class.

Golden Score will be used.

Match time: U15 and U18 = 3 minutes, and U21 = 4 minutes.

Arm lock and strangle techniques are NOT allowed in U15

Also notice it is only allowed to take part in one category in the competition.

Grade A minimum of the 4th kyu is required for all the categories.

Referees Bring a referee at your own expenses! In compensation your club can enter five competitors in the

competition free of charge. Please inform us about the name and ranking of the referees in the entry

form. Note: The referee must be of the high national standard.

Meals at the Competition Day Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available at the Polhem School for 6 EUR or 50 SEK per meal. Please

book it in the entry form. It is not included in the completion or the camp fee!

Grade A minimum of 5th kyu is required for all categories.

Camp Fee 1. 140 EUR or 1,200 SEK per judoka. Includes meals (8), training and all activities.

2. 125 EUR or 1,100 SEK per judoka. Includes 5 meals (no breakfast), training and all activities.

3. 95 EUR or 850 SEK per judoka. Includes training and all activities but without meals.

4. 55 EUR or 500 SEK per responsible coach/leader minimum age +20 year, accompanying

parents or others. This fee includes 8 meals and activities.

Separate meal coupons are available for 6 EUR or 50 SEK per meal.

Special Discount Special discounts are available for larger groups and will be announced in the confirmation you

Elite Coach Course 2013

BUDO-NORD Kid’s Judo Cup 2013

Competition Date Saturday 11 May at 12:00.

Venue Färs & Frosta Sparbank ARENA, Klostergårdens Idrottsområde, Stattenavägen, SE-222 28 Lund.

Rules It is a very informal competition and will be conducted only partly according to the Contest Rules,

Organization Code and Sporting Code of the Swedish Judo Federation (www.judo.se).

Clarification of and Additional Rules “Floating Weight Classes” — Actual weight should be stated in the entry form. Correctness of the

declared weight will be randomly checked during the competition day. It is NOT possible to enter

both BUDO-NORD Cup (Thursday) and Kid´s Cup!

Grade A minimum of 4th kyu is required.

Weight Categories The competitors will be split into groups based on the participant’s actual weight.

Special food If you need special food like allergy, vegetarian etc. you must inform us in advance on the entry form.

Insurance Each entrant takes part at their own risk. Each National Federation and/or your own club is

responsible for its judokas and must assume all responsibility for an accident and health insurance as

well as the civil liabilities for their judokas and officials, including the nominated referees, during the

events.

If you travel to Sweden for a short period you may, if you are a citizen in certain countries, be

entitled to emergency medical treatment. The countries concerned depend on the agreements,

which Sweden has signed. Contact the social insurance office well before departure and ask for the

certificates you need. Your social insurance office will know the situation with regard the country,

from which you are travelling, and for Sweden. If you cannot show a certificate, you may risk paying
