Please refer to USEF EQUESTRIAN and PCHA for further details. It is the responsibility of each owner & exhibitor to be able to furnish proof of eligibility of horse/rider in the event of protest. The decision of the judge is fi nal. For protest procedures see PCHA rules.

2. All exhibitors must sign the liability release form prior to showing. Parent or legal guardian must sign for riders under the age of 18.

Entrants will not be counted as entries for points or show awards. Humane equipment only. LSAC reserves the right to excuse any entrant disrupting a class.

7. Safety-approved helmets are recommended for riders under the age of 18. Proper attire is required in all classes unless otherwise stated (ASTM/SEI Certifi ed).

8. LSAC endorses USEF EQUESTRIAN rules regarding amateur riders - an Amateur rider is a person 19 years & older who does not accept remuneration for the following: riding, training, showing in halter, schooling, conducting clinics/seminars, or instructing. The show offi ce may request proof of Amateur status. Current USEF EQUESTRIAN or breed association cards are required.

9. (11 & Under) Walk-Jog Leadline – Walk-Jog riders will ride on the rail. Lead-line riders will ride a smaller circle inside the walk-jog pattern, closer to the center of the arena, well away from the walk-joggers. TO BE JUDGED CONCURRENTLY, one set of awards. 14. Points will be awarded to the horse in classes judged on horse and need not be the same rider except in Overall classes where points are calculated on a one horse/rider combination.

15. All classes with 3 or more entries in 4 shows will be fully sponsored by LSAC. Any Youth/Amateur class failing to meet this criteria will be provided an alternate year-end award upon approval of the LSAC board.

17. For LSAC Year-end awards, ties will be handled in the following manner: The horse/exhibitor who has competed in that class the greater number of times will win. If there is a tie, the horse/exhibitor with the most fi rst place awards (most seconds, thirds, etc.) until the tie is broken.

18. RETURNED CHECKS: Checks returned by the bank for any reason will be charged a 10% penalty (min. $25). Accounts will have ten days to be paid in full with cash or money order or they will be reported to the organization for further displinary action.

If a rider rides more than one horse in limit prior rider trail, he/she earns only the points for his/her ride on the horse placing the highest.

RIDE TO FLY

Ride to Fly is a non-profi t organization dedicated to providing therapeutic horseback riding and the associated learning experiences to children and adults with disabilities in a safe, nurturing environment. Ride to Fly is a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) member operating center that has been serving the South Bay area since 1994.

Therapy becomes enjoyable instead of painful and learning becomes a game rather than a choice.

“Riding turns I Wish into I Can.”“In riding a horse we borrow freedom.”
