The LS Retail Portal provides store managers with a comprehensive set of tools to run their stores efficiently with reduced risk of failures and mistake. With increasing levels of com-plexity in modern retail, many store manag-ers must deal with an increasing flow of data on which to base their decisions. The quality of the available information and the way it is processed are vital for the decision-making process.
LS Retail Staff Commission
LS Retail Staff Commission allows retail-ers to efficiently manage commission in ex-actly the way that suits their business best. With this solution it is possible to set up tar-gets for sales personnel in order to drive up sales, create a structure for dividing commis-sion among staff, based on various criteria. The reporting features of the solution give the management and staff a good overview of the status of sales campaigns with regard to commission.
LS Retail Inventory Optimiser
InventoryOptimiser isan InventoryPlanningand Optimization solution that minimizesbothinventorycostsandshortages.Itusesda-ta from the existing ERP system to determine forecast values. From these forecast values,the system then dynamically calculates order proposals and safety stock, taking the service level, inventory status, lead times, minimum order quantities and the items replenishment lead time into account.
LS Retail Meal and Recipe Management
Meal and Recipe Management is designed for the catering business. The solution allows you to create ingredients and build up reci-pes. You set up menus that are a collection of dishesandarevalidoncertainweekdays.Foreach menu, you create day plans where you assign the actual recipes or items to the dish-es offered, set the dish prices and plan how many portions you are going to make.
Recipes are a collection of ingredients and/or other recipes and additional items with quan-tities that make up one portion. With LS Retail Meal and Recipe Management you can effec-tivelymanageyourcateringbusiness.Forex-ample you can:
•Usegroupingbymainingredient,styleandcategory
•Registerproduction timeandcooking in-structions
•Registerthequantitiesoftherecipeingre-dients for a set number of portions, having the program calculate the quantities for one portion
•Store and display nutritional informa-tion showing the nutrient values of your choice
The solution also allows for easy recipe scal-ing along with the ability to control and con-figure nutritional information.
New LS Retail add-on solutions for Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail
LS Retail originally developed the LS Retail AX solution that was acquired by Microsoft. Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail was released in August 2010 and is intended to become a major player in the market for re-tail solutions. For LS Retail it was a logical step to utilize the expertise within the company to develop solu-tions to enhance the new product and coinciding with the release of Microsoft Dynamic AX for Retail we presented the first two add-on solutions. Three more were released in December 2010. These five add-on solutions plus the expertise within LS Retail’s Consulting Services will give our Partners a strong foundation to pursue the competitive retail market.

Staff Management is a module designed to help automate the staff management pro-cess. Retailers are able to improve staff and store productivity by reducing staffing costs throughoptimizedstaffrosters.
The Fraud Detection module’s foundation is builtonasetoftriggersthatassistorganiza-tions in identifying areas where losses are be-ing incurred and ultimately to stop or prevent future occurrences.
The Intelligent Marketing module uses ad-vanced data-mining and artificial intelligence technology to precisely target customers ac-cording to their purchasing history, demo-graphics or on the content of their shopping basket, to ensure that offers and promotions will be well received.
Forecourt Management includes all neces-sary functionality to operate a typical gas sta-tion,includingthewetstockmanagement.Itcan also handle unmanned fuel stations and thePOSneedsnomodificationtooperateonthe three different levels one often encoun-ters at modern service stations: Typical sale of goods, fuel sales and finally hospitality.
Stock Ledger Reporting records the retail value of an item, as opposed to the standard systemwhichonlykeepstrackofthecost.Itoffers complete support for the retail value of an item through different levels of price
changes and a new reporting framework with the capabilities of dynamic inventory ag-gregation into specific transaction types.
By late 2011 LS Retail intends to offer a suite of add-ons for Dynamics AX for Retail con-sisting of ten solutions that cover a variety of areas within the retail business. The retail ex-pertise and experience of the development team behind these solutions is world-class, so we look very much forward to presenting them.
