LRHSD GOOGLE ACCOUNTS

• STEP 1 – go to docs.google.com and log in with your school email (if you don’t know if you have an account, click on “CANNOT ACCESS ACCOUNT” and follow the steps)

→If you have a google account with your school email, follow directions on slide 2 below

→ If you do NOT have a google account with your school email, go to slide 11 (page 6 of handout)

(changing your LRHSD password)

Log in to your Google Account using your LRHSD email address and the password you have been

using. It will prompt you to "Get Started".

Click Next.

Enter a different email address where your docs will be transferred. Use your current Google password.

Check the email address you provided.

This will be sent to the email address you provided. Click the top link. SLIDE

Your account is now associated with a new email address. SLIDE

Share some or all of your docs from your old account, to your new account. Check off next to the files you want or select all files. SLIDE

Change your LRHSD password.

1. Click crtl, alt, delete.

2. Click Change Password.

3. Create a password that has at least 8 characters, with at least 1 number, and at least 1 capital letter. Google requires at least 8 characters.

4. Log into Google using your LRHSD email address and new password.

Other things to consider.

• Nothing automatically transfers from the "old" account you have associated with a new email address. You have to share with the "new" LRHSD account.

• You'll need to do the same with other apps and Google products-Calendar, Sites, ect...

• The best part is now all students and staff have their own Google Account and can immediately start sharing their docs, spreadsheets, presentations, ect... Account names automatically appear when your start typing in the share box.
