Features• PREMIUM PERFORMANCE OPTICS: High-grade alu-
minum, semi-specular finish produces up to 85%reflectance. Internal hammertone finish at top of reflec-tor to prevent lamp voltage rise on HPS and reducebright spots beneath luminaire. Eight distinct reflectors,each providing different light distributions ranging fromNarrow to Very Wide. Primary path reflector shape ele-ments eliminate secondary reflections for higher effi-ciency.
• DUST-TIGHT CHAMBER: Sealed optical chamber pro-vides dust-tight enclosure to ensure maintained light lev-els. Cast aluminum lens frame accommodates Glass,Teflon, or Glass/Teflon lens assembly; fully gasketed andsecured to the reflector using stainless steel screws andhinge. Teflon lenses resist dirt and dust build up trans-mitting 5% more light. Gasketing is high temperature sili-cone.
• BUILT IN MODULARITY: Wide-Lite’s modular optics hang‘hands-free’ on a hinge for quick connect installation,and easy, safe disconnect for servicing and re-lamping.Modular Optics can be interchanged with ease shouldthe activity in an area require different optical perform-ance.
• RUGGED HOUSING DESIGN: Durable die-cast aluminumhousing components provide maximum strength andheat dissipation. All service hardware stainless steel.
• SOCKET: Glazed porcelain, 4KV and 5KV pulse rated witha vibration proof nickel-plated screw shell and spring-loaded centre contact. Socket positions factory preset.
• BALLAST: Swing open hinge system with the ballast lidand optical assembly. Quick disconnect plug provided forconnection to input supply wires. Pre-wired high powerfactor ballast designed for up to 55° ambient tempera-tures, -29°C starting temperatures for Metal Halide and -40°C for HPS. Encapsulated in polyester resin compoundwith capacitors and ignitors located outside encapsula-tion. Completely sealed ballast assembly reduces dirt.Lamp current crest factor less than 1.65.
• FINISH: Standard Finish is white Duraplex IITM

• SWITCHING: Switching of power levels is accom-plished by means of a solid-state electronic controldevice, in conjunction with additional capacitor(s).Electronic control device incorporates integralzero-cross detection for switching of capacitors, toensure both electrical stability and lamp stabilityduring switching. The use of zero-cross detectionswitching promotes full lamp life through control ofdV/dT during switching function. The electroniccontrol device employs the use of a solid-staterelay to accomplish switching, avoiding instabilityand contact arcing related to mechanical relays.The electronic control device employs an integralstart-at-high period of ~15 minutes when the ballastis first energized, allowing lamp arc-tube to warmup and stabilize before dimming. Control input ofthe Dimming Module requires additional wiring thanstandard lighting circuit. The control wiring mayrun in the same conduit as the lighting supplywiring, according to CEC C22.2 Sec. 12-904 2c. Thedefault light level is Low when at 0V input to themodule. • The Wide-Lite HiLo Integral Control option isavailable with the Performer, Coolbay, Ultrabay,Vertic’Aisle, Softbay, and Glass Hibay with 175-1000W Metal Halide and Pulse Start MH, and150-1000W High Pressure Sodium.
• HiLo step dimming via relay switching of dualcapacitors located in ballast housing.
• Standard area pattern lens features 360° fieldof view for use in open areas. Two decals areincluded to limit view for narrow warehouseaisle applications.
• The PIR (Passive Infra-Red) sensor and dim-ming relay are housed in a single unitizedinjection-moulded enclosure.
• Fixtures may be pre-wired with wire harnessand connector for fast, 30-second installationrequiring only a screwdriver. Adjustable uni-versal swivelling mounting bracket attaches tothe rim of the reflector. Sensor has self-adjust-ing multi-volt operation for fixtures rated 120-480VAC at 60Hz without taps or jumpers.
• Unit is equipped with LED lamp behind lens,which blinks three diagnostic patterns to facili-tate installation and debugging. Additionally, amanual override test switch on the sensor per-mits confirmation of proper operation of the fix-ture.
• Activity timer, standard on all units, allows userto adjust the observed motion ON time settingfrom 0-15 minutes. Useable PIR sensitivityrange is up to 60 feet on axis (at 25°C) floorambient.
• Unit is suitable for indoor damp locations and0°-50°C ambient (non-condensing).
