The commissioners approved a right-of-way, public utility and encroach-ment agreement with ODOT for construction of on Billy Own Bridge on CR EW-081.
The board then ap-pointed District 2 Commis-sioner Mike Pearson as the COCAAA board member for the county. They also appointed District 1 Mark
Sharpton to the ACOG Board of Directors, In-termodal Transportation Policy Committee, Garber Wellington Policy Commit-tee, and 9-1-1 Association Board of Directors. Pear-son and District 3 Commis-sioner Monty Piearcy will serve as alternates for the boards. The commission-ers approved the closing of Deer Drive in District 2.
“This is part of an ad-dition, and it can’t be main-
tained anymore. Nobody uses it, the residents are requesting the closure,” said Pearson. The board approved the acceptance of a $300 donation from Brett and Teresa Huffert to Dis-trict 1.
The commissioners approved the payment of invoices from Mehlburger Brawley Engineering in the following amounts;$15,750 for bridge and approaches over an unnamed creek
2.9 miles west of Merid-ian, $1,850 bridge and ap-proaches over Cottonwood Creek and $22,500 for sur-vey and plan-in-hand plans for surfacing CR- NS 316.
The board approved road-crossing permits for Rite-Way Construction for CR 60. The board approved a detention transportation claim for the month of Feb-ruary.
The board signed the 2011 Additional Homestead
Exemption Reimbursement Claim in the amount of $36,279.19. Troy Cole said this is a formality.
The board approved two bids tabled from the Mar. 30 meeting for rail-road tank car culverts in the amount of $19,400 and one for Oakwood Creek Road Repair Project to Howard Paving. “I have a letter from the homeowners and they are paying 80 percent,” said Sharpton. “They asked
us to go with Howard.”The commissioners
opened sealed bids for a University Bridge project and tabled the bids until Apr. 30.
They also tabled the opened bids for a 36x44 steel building add on for the Mulhall fire station. All items on the consent agenda were approved as well as payroll signed for the month of April.
