SCHOOL RESTART – MODELING – WHAT WE SEE COMING
If Coloradans do not change their behavior, cases will continue to increase to a peak in September/October. If that occurs, our metrics will cause us to be remote. Starting In-Person may be the only opportunity this year to “see” our kids.
24
SCHOOL RESTART – PREPARATION TIME
Preparation Time and Professional Development
● The district created and will make online modules available (LPS Educator Academies) to support teachers in developing skills & strategies to support remote learning.
● The training will support teachers with In-Person, Blended and Remote Learning.
● Teachers and administrators will be provided with seven (7) additional planning days to use with their PLC group, LST coordinators, instructional coaches and school administrators to prepare for both a hybrid/blended learning model and remote instruction.
● Teacher contractual pre-service days (one flex day; 1.5 day teacher directed; 1.5 day principal directed)
