Flow is a condensing boiler that produces some of your electrical power whilst heating your home and providing hot water. This type of product is often referred to as a micro Combined Heat and Power (mCHP) boiler.

Flow mCHP boiler is a heat led domestic heating appliance designed to be installed into a conventional heating system comprising a hot water storage cylinder.

The appliance is constructed according to a modular design, with the mCHP power module being mounted separately within the appliance casing for both ease of installation and service.

The appliance has a single gas fired burner, providing heat, preferentially to drive the organic Rankine cycle circuit (power module) which generates the heat and power (electricity).

Calor has been delivering solutions for off-mains gas areas nationwide for over 75 years. Calor are always looking for solutions to meet tomorrow’s sustainable energy needs and have joined forces with Flow Group to offer even more. Flow Group is an innovative mCHP boiler company, specialising in combined heat and power products, based on their unique organic Rankine cycle, circuit technology.

Working together to provide tomorrow’s sustainable solutions

Flow® Boiler

How does it work?

Benefits

• Flow mCHP will save you money through

reducing your electricity bills, at the same

time reducing your carbon emissions so

being good to the environment.

• Flow is a replacement boiler that heats

your home and produces hot water whilst

generating electricity.

• Flow is installed in a similar manner to

existing conventional boilers.

• Electricity is generated whilst the boiler is

on and can be used in the home, avoiding

the need to purchase power from the mains,

making you less reliant on your electricity

supplier. Excess electricity can be exported

to the grid.

Flow will be available in 2014. To register your interest please give us a call on 0800 085 5095 and we will ensure we take your details in order to keep you up to date with any developments. For further information on the Flow visit www.freeflow.uk.com

Flow Group’s Flow product uses LPG the same way as conventional boilers. It converts some of the heat from combustion into electricity by an organic Rankine cycle. This is a module similar to a refrigerator which recirculates a fluid. The fluid is heated and evaporated before passing through a turbine-like device attached to a generator. It is this which produces the electricity. The fluid then passes into a heat exchanger where it condenses, passing its heat into your radiator circuit or through the coil in your hot water cylinder to store hot water.
