Core 13 Update:

Paul in AthensPaul is always a remarkable person. He goes to Athens to spread the message of Jesus. There wasmuch religion in Athens, but it was all false and made up by humans. Temples and statues aboutreligion were everywhere. Honestly, one could reasonably arrive at the conclusion there was alittle despair in Paul while dealing with the false religions of Athens. Athens was a city that wanted tocover its religious bets so there was a maker to the "unknown God." Paul used that "unknown God"as a point to begin a fair and reasonable discussion with the people of Athens. The good people ofAthens and Paul had a "mutual platform" to begin a great discourse! When we speak to others aboutour Savior, if the person with whom we are speaking is from a different nation, neighborhood, culture,or religion, we must find common ground and mutual points of agreement. Then, we can feel our wayto the point of sharing the Gospel of Christ. The study guide has some probing and interestingquestions at the end about this episode in Paul's life. Please take a look at it!

Children's Education Update:

WE'RE BACK!!All Children's Ministries have resumed.

There will be Sunday School for nursery age-youth group as well as Children's Church for

school-age children.

The Core 13 SS Class will meet at9:45 a.m. in Darden Hall. All socialdistancing practices will be observed.Masks and hand sanitizer arerequired and will be provided, ifneeded. This class is also availablevia Zoom.

Mickey's SS Class will be held in thechoir room starting at 9:45 a.m.. Wewill be practicing proper socialdistancing by maintaining at least 6ft. distance, practicing proper handhygiene, and wearing masks whennecessary. We will continue to meetvia Zoom for those who cannot be atthe church.

Friends,

It looks like things (in regard to Covid-19) are going to get worse again before they get better. Pleasestay safe!

Please pray that a vaccine is discovered/developed soon.

In the meantime , we need to keep in touch with one another. If you know of members you have notseen for a while, please give them a call.
