What’s hot for 2005?

Women's packs Launched in 2005 our dedicated line of women's packs has already gained top reviews. For 2006 we've added 5 new products - including the top-end Zanskar - and tweaked existing models to make this the most comprehensive women's line available (page 8).

Pure Air Zone®

Pure Air Zone® is the first stable, suspended back system that gives maximum ventilation - because there's no mesh. Now we've extended the Pure Air Zone® principle into our best-selling Walkabout and Mintaka packs (page 16)

Back systems Our legendary Torso Fit® APS® 7 and 9 back systems have been uprated for 2006. New hipbelts, harnesses and backs gain improved body-contact fabrics and construction (pages 8, 13). Plus we extend the simple, elegant and strong Torso Fit® Centro™ adjustable back into new mid-size packs (page 16).

The Sirocco is one of our time-tested classics and has been running the gauntlet of the world's most extreme environments for years. Women's packs Women prefer to carry loads lower on the back. Our women's packs therefore give greater capacity lower in the pack body.

Women also prefer to organize their loads differently. Our pack designs respond to this by adding creative pockets and load organization systems, both internal and external.

The overall fit of the harness, hip-belt and back systems clearly need to be tuned specifically for the female form. Necks are narrower, the hip/shoulder ratio is different, and back lengths are shorter.
