Lawn grass with fast establishmentTurbo contains the unique Turf annual ryegrass which is the fastest germinating grass. At the same time QuickAction® ensures the very best establishment and growth and performs well even at low temperatures in early spring or late fall.

Lawn grass for shady areasShadow is very tolerant to shade, e.g. from trees and buildings. The mixture gives a dense and compact growth. Shadow is very well suited for low input of water and fertilizer.

Lawn grass for sunny areasSunshine has very high drought tolerance combined with a dense and compact growth. It grows well in both sun and shade and has good recovery after wear and damage. Sunshine keeps a nice green colour even in dry periods.

Eco-friendly lawn grassEco Lawn has a limited need for irrigation and fertilizer due to the content of Microclover®. The Microclover® holds nitrogen and “feeds” the grass plants also during dry periods. This ensures a green lawn during the whole season.

Lawn grass needing less water Water Less needs less irrigation as grasses with deep roots are used. This is also the reason for its high drought tolerance and why it stays green during longer periods of drought. It is hard-wearing and dense and has good recovery after wear and damage.

Mixture descriptions

QuickAction® QuickAction® is enhanced grass that provides fast and strong establishment at soil temperatures as low as 3˚C and it has extra wear and drought tolerance and increased disease resistance. QuickAction® is only available from DLF Pickseed.

Extra growth PROTINUS® is a seed nutrition solution that provides extra growth and is in all Turfline® mixtures. PROTINUS® creates a “nutrient friendly” zone around the developing seed and provides micro nutrients right from the start. The product contains zinc, manganese and iron – elements that are crucial in the phase of establishment. There is no weight increase on the seed.

Prepare the groundPrepare the ground by digging or by using a rotorvator. Level the ground if needed. The better the seedbed is prepared, the better the lawn will be. Good drainage is important and deep digging will help.

Rake the groundRake the ground. Roll or tread the soil and rake again. Finally, add fertilizer and rake to stimulate the establishment and root development.

Plant the seedSelect a mixture from the Turfline® range. The mixtures can be planted any time from spring to early fall. Plant in two directions for an even spread.

Cover the seedRake the soil again in order to get the seed covered. On sandy soils roll the soil after raking.

Planting depthTo ensure germination and establishment the perfect planting depth is 1 cm.

IrrigateDuring dry periods, keep the seedbed moist by watering with a fine spray.

Mow the lawnThe first mowing should not be done in a lower height than 6-8 cm. Trim lightly and gradually lower blades to an ideal cutting height of 3-4 cm.
