The Floating Classroom is a fun and informative hands-on program designed to teach adults, chil-dren, students, and summer campers the issues threatening the lake. The goal of the Floating Class-room is to increase awareness of issues affecting the health of Lake Winnipesaukee in order that people may become better stewards of the lake.

Lake Winnipesaukee is NH’s most widely uti-lized lake. Many people enjoy its beauty every-day from boating and swimming in the summer to ice-fishing in winter. Since the mid 1970’s LWWA has worked to protect the lake’s water quality through water quality monitoring, nat-ural resource education and by providing tech-nical assistance to residents and communities throughout the watershed.
