REBUILT CONFERENCE Making Catholic Churches Matter
Fr. Jerry, Nicolas and Samantha are very excited to be driving down to Maryland this coming week and attend the Rebuilt Conference at Church of the Nativity. They will be attending inspiring sessions on leadership and ministry programs while worshipping with other parish leaders from all over North America. The annual New Evangelization Summit will be held in Ottawa and streamed live to our parish as well as all over North America! Tickets are available on-line and super easy to access. Ticket price is $40 which includes lunch and snacks. This two day conference Friday, April 27th, 4 - 9:30PM and Saturday, April 28th, 9AM - 4:30PM, will inspire people and help them in their faith. This will also encourage, train and provide resources on how Catholics can evangelize effectively. Attendance at Sunday Mass is expected and participation in parish ministries is a definite plus when applying for any teaching job.

-Baptismal Waters The celebration of Easter and the Sacrament of Baptism are intimately connected. Easter is the beginning of life in Christ. On Easter Sunday, we renewed our baptismal faith and were sprinkled with water blessed at the Solemn Easter Vigil. On Divine Mercy Sunday, we close the Easter Octave by celebrating the Rite for the Blessing and Sprinkling of Water at the beginning of all parish Masses.
-Flame of Faith The Paschal or Easter Candle is the most important symbol of the Resurrection. It’s lighted at the Solemn Easter Vigil and then stands next to the ambo throughout the entire fifty days of the Easter Season. The newly baptized are welcomed into the Church by its light and it speaks of eternal life at every Funeral Mass.
