Walk a mile for a Mortgage: Saved seven families from foreclosure during this economic downtime.

-Youth Development Programs* Interfaith Works Partnership-

February 3, 2011: Provided 25 New Orleans youth the opportunity to explore and learn their family genealogy.

* City Camp-June 6-July 15, 2011: Six week summer enrichment program with 70 campers enrolled and 3 paid teachers.

* Campers participated in academic enhancement activities, spiritual development, cultural events, and athletics.

* Back to School-August 7, 2011: Annual community outreach, sponsored ($5,000) by Shorty, Dooley, and Hall Law firm.

* Served 1000 families with free backpacks, school supplies, uniforms, and health screening.

* College Bound Partnership-October-November 2011:-Provided 20 youth the opportunity to enroll in free ACT prep course as well as participate in local college tours.

Social Advocacy

-Elderly Care Program* Helping Senior Inc. Partnership

February-September 2011: Assisted 4 elderly individual who experienced contract fraud. Through this partnership, 4 individual were able to return to their homes.

* Home Depot Partnership: November 12, 2011 Assisted 1 elderly citizen with home repairs. Repairs include:

Economic Development*LA Fund CDO-September 21, 2011: Job Opportunity Event. 35 applications were received for position in construction and administrative assistants.

Wellness* NO Aids Taskforce-November 2, 2011: HIV/AIDS Testing Event. 12 individuals were tested for the disease.* Harvest Fest-November 19, 2011: Free community health fair. Provided the following health screening in blood pressure, HIV, and diabetes.- Distributed 220 turkeys to families for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

-Distributed 150 bags of fresh produce and vegetables

Financial Empowerment* Operation Hope Partnership- April 29, 2011: Provided financial literacy information to 28 families. Materials included:

-Credit Repair- Homeownership- Saving and Investing

Community Outreach* HandsOn New Orleans-September 11, 2011: Community Clean-up in Hollygrove Area for 9/11 Day of Service.* ATL’s Youth Foundation-December 10, 2011: $500 donation to organization to provide 50 families with turkeys for Christmas holiday.
