Louisville’s Parks and Recreation Department relies on citizens like you for its continued success. So if you appreciate all that we’re doing, please “like” us on social media. Hearing from you will be a great help to us.* *Even if you don’t like what we’re doing, let us know anyway - so we can do better at serving your needs in the future! Favorite Little-Known Spot, Program or Landmark in Louisville’s Public Park System? Where we ask opinions of our Louisville Parks and Recreation personnel in the field! I love going to the Riverview Park boat docks in South Louisville, close to my house. Most of the time I will walk down the boat ramp and walk through the trees along the shoreline. If you walk far enough you get away from most people and it’s very peaceful. I take a chair, walk as far as I can and sit and read some evenings or mornings during the summer. The view of the river and Indiana on the other side is beautiful. Sabrina Parrish, Event Coordinator The springhouse at historic Locust Grove is cool, quiet, and the perfect place to immerse yourself in the landscape of our city’s history!
