Driving/Walking on Course while not playing We ask all homeowners and guests to help us by not using the golf course cart paths as your road home. It is a safety issue as well as a courtesy to the golfers playing the course. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank You!! A “Huge Thanks” to those who helped with the holiday decorating this year. Thank to the maintenance staff as well. 2020 was a tough year with Covid. Some people did not feel comfortable with a group of people. 2021 Hopefully will be a healthier, safer and happier year. We would have loved to see our new residents come join us to decorate. This is a Los Prados Community event, Lets make Los Prados a festive community next year. Once again ,Thank you all! Charlie Hansen, Joann De Gerolami & Karen Curnett.
Just a short note to express our gratefulness to all of our many
friends and family for their thoughtfulness! Between my lengthy surgery and Ed’s Son passing at 51, everyone made us feel very
special with all the cards, notes & beautiful flowers we had received. I would love to send an individual “Thank you” notes but my fingers couldn't do so many!! We are very fortunate and appreciate everyone
of you again for your thoughtfulness! God bless you all and stay warm and healthy!

Sicilian Chicken Marsala
Busy weeknights or weekend entertaining, this recipe will crush the time crunch and have you looking like a rock star in the kitchen. Boneless chicken breasts are a simple standby for most of us during the weekday. Amp the flavor up by finding your chicken at our local farmer’s market and finding an affordable, drinkable Marsala wine will take the humble chicken breast to WOW! Superior (noting the age of the wine) Marsala wine is an aperitif that can pull double duty as a lovely drinkable Marsala while making a fantastic sauce. Please be sure to get a dry Marsala wine for cooking this recipe.
INGREDIENTS 6 Tablespoons butter 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (1 1/2 Ib. total), pounded 1/4” thick 1/4 Cup minced shallot 10 Ounce sliced mushrooms (cremini is perfect) 1/2 Teaspoon black pepper, ground 1 Tablespoon flour 2/3 Cup + 2 tbsp dry Marsala 2/3 Cup chicken broth Salt to taste Fresh thyme leaves
METHOD OF PREPARATION
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add chicken breast in single layer. Cook just until no longer pink in the middle, about 2 minutes per side. Set aside. Wipe skillet clean and return to medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, then add shallots and cook 1 minute. Add mushrooms, pepper and salt to taste. Cook 4 minutes or until mushrooms are golden brown. Add flour and stir for 30 seconds. Pour in 2/3 cup Marsala and chicken broth, bring to a boil. Stir to scrape brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Cook until very thick – about 3 minutes. Add chicken and cook until just heated through. Stir in remaining Marsala, followed by remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Continue to stir until butter melts. Season with salt to taste. Divide among plates, garnish with thyme leaves and serve immediately.
Bon Appetit!

A Message from Food and Beverage
News from the F&B Staff
Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. Unfortunately, during December the Club was extremely slow due to Covid restrictions and governmental mandates. We had numerous holiday parties that were cancelled due to health concerns and the fact that we only were able to reopen on December 1st. I would like to thank each and every one of our staff members for their hard work and dedication during the month. Also, I would again like to apologize for any inconveniences with our inability to host our Thanksgiving dinner, as was originally planned. We appreciate your understanding. I am sure that you noticed the amazing Christmas decorations in and around the club during the holiday season. I would like to personally thank the LPWC for their efforts in this matter. It added a special meaning to this Holiday season. Hopefully, those of you that continued to support F&B and were able to attend our New Year’s Eve Dinner enjoyed the evening. Looking forward, please save the date of Friday, February 12th for our special Valentine’s Day Dinner.
May your New Year hold many blessings and even more beautiful memories!

Happy New Year! Hope to see you at 6pm on January 13th at the Los Prados Clubhouse for our Annual Membership Meeting at which the election of Directors will be concluded. This is a good opportunity to meet your neighbors including those who serve our village on the Cedar Point Village Board of Directors. The Board works with the Management Company to manage the operations of the Association, including overseeing the Landscape vendor's performance of their contractual duties. Resolution much? If you are looking for a New Year's Resolution you can feel good about, please consider making it a point to become more neighborly with your neighbors this year. You'll find that it enriches your life, and also makes it easier to approach a neighbor if you have any issue with them. Like making sure that Fido is OK if he seems to be barking a lot more recently, or wandering throughout the Village unleashed (which, sorry, naturalists, is against City code). Studies show that when you are friendly with your neighbors you are less likely to speed blindly through the streets risking mowing people down without even noticing. (Kind of kidding here, kind of not.) Also, everyone should know, at the very least, the names and contact info of their neighbors on each side, and front and back. Maybe a call to check in once in a while if you haven't seen them lately would be a really nice thing to do. When you first moved to Cedar Point, you surely noticed how nice a neighborhood it is, thanks for doing your part to keep it that way!

Palm View Village Our Board wants to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year. May the New Year bring health, happiness and protection against the covid-19 virus to all residents.
We will be having our annual house and lawn Christmas Decorating contest this Month open to all residents of Palm View Village. Gift certificates that can be used at the restaurant, golf course or pro shop will be given from first through fifth place. Judging will take place by non-residents during the 2nd week Decem-ber. Signs indicating the winners will be placed on garage doors after the results are in.
We are working on a schedule for next year’s events. When completed, it will be published. Finally, some important Holiday quotes; "Bless us Lord, this Christmas, with quietness of mind; teach us to be patient and always to be kind." “Peace on earth will come to stay, When we live the Christmas Spirit every day.” Yours Truly Jerry Wyszomirski
COLWOOD PLACE NEWS
With the end of the year coming up and a new year beginning, your Board of Di-rectors wishes everyone a great Holiday and a very Happy New Year.
This year has seen many changes to our community. The appearance has improved once more and we have had some new neighbors move in and some very close friends leave. To all who are new, Welcome to our Community. Your new neigh-bors and residents hope you will find our little spot of Los Prados a haven you sought.
The pool is closed until April so no one no one is allowed, the pool area except for maintenance and security. The parking lot likewise is off limits to all but those preforming the maintenance and security.
Remember that we have an upcoming meeting on January 11, 2021. This coming years meetings will be on Mondays instead of Tuesdays because of scheduling conflicts, so mark your calendars as a reminder. The time is 5:45 pm for the Exec-utive meeting and 6:00pm for the regular Board of Directors meeting.

Los Prados Women’s Golf Association
Welcome, 2021!!! Please be a kinder, gentler year than your predecessor!! LPWGA members were happy to hear that the Board of Directors for 2020 volunteered to stay in office for another year. Our thanks to all of you on the Board for keeping the organization running through all the bumps in the road that 2020 threw down. The “weather gods” graced us with incredible fall days to enable playing of the long delayed LPWGA Club Championship on November 11 and 18. Thirty members participated in the flighted two-day play. Brooke Hempel won the honor of Club Champion with Kathy Lindow being declared the Low Net winner. The overall winners were not the only ones showing their competitive “chops”, however. Listed here are the first place gross winners in the flights: Michele Bradford, First Flight, Peggy Lair, Second Flight, and Cindy Koerner, Third Flight. In the Net Division, the winners were Cindi Chittenden in the First Flight, Starr Petersen in the Second Flight, and Terry Strong in the Third Flight. Big time congratulations to each and every one of you! December brought the culmination of the Annual Low Gross/Low Net Competition that 24 members qualified for by winning those honors on the first playday of each month. Brooke Hempel was victorious again with the Low Gross score!! Cindi Chittenden and Linda Jacobs shared the Low Net Honors. Jin Hui Collopy was honored as “most improved player of the year.” Kudos to these winners and all 24 members who qualified to play in this event! And finally, there are five members who know how to start 2021 off right – celebrate a birthday!! They are Patti Wells on 1/1, (hope she's a football fan), Robin Sharp on 1/5, Janis Lunde on 1/18, Katie Sowinski on 1/19 and Arlene Krupa on 1/26. Happy Birthday, Ladies!! Please be careful with your health and that of those you love! See you around the course, Barb Houliston, Publicity

Hey there, 2021!! You're looking pretty cute and rosy in your infancy and having just read an article on relationships, I am determined to “live life forward”, so no hard feelings, 2020, but I'm going with 2021! For her final act as Tournament Chair for 2020, Diane McGaughey chose Bingo, Bango, Bongo as the format for our December tournament. Mary Beth Dempsey accumulated 15 Bingos, Bangos and Bongos during her round and ran away from her competition. Marsha Meskan and Gloria Pianko tried to give Mary Beth a run for her money but came up short with only 11. Lynn Holihan made a good showing with 10, to come in third. Congratulations to all! Nanette Bouck and Pam Tallent will head up tournaments in 2021. Mary Beth Dempsey will now take her winning ways and head up awarding Birdie and Chip-in Pins to those skilled in shots around the green. Be sure to report your accomplishments to her promptly. Lynn Holihan chipped in on #3 December 10th to add to Nanette Bouck's 2020 Birdie tree awards. The Niners chosen community project during 2020 was the SNGA Junior Golf program. To supplement our earlier monetary contribution, members were asked by project chair, Kathi Visnaw to donate used balls and clubs to the cause. Well, true to form, the Niners responded with a total of 1225 balls and 120 clubs in good condition. Good job, ladies! Now, start saving up again. Kathi will make another trip to their office location with further donations during the upcoming summer. Birthdays abound in the month of January. The Niners who are starting off 2021 one year more experienced are Robin Sharp 1/5, Mary Beth Dempsey 1/14, Nanette Bouck and Thelma Esteban 1/18, Kathryn Visnaw 1/19 and Lee Kirshbaum 1/24. Happy Birthday to each of you. The Niners invite women golfers familiar with the etiquette and rules of golf to join us for nine holes on Thursday mornings. We are a group of women who enjoy golf and socializing and we welcome every level of play in every age group. Try us for a couple of weeks before needing to join and pay dues. If anyone would like more information, sign up in the Pro Shop and join us for a nine-hole round at 8:30 for our 9:00 a.m. tee time on Thursdays or call Pres-ident, Connie Salazar 530-276-3508 or Vice President, Kathi Visnaw 702-353-7107 for more information.
