In William Golding’s novel The Lord of the Flies, Jack’s totalitarianism proves to be more effective
than Ralph’s democratic leadership style in overseeing the immature boys, demonstrating that the best form of authority depends on the
situation and the people being lead.

Effectiveness is not about who got the more desirable task done, but rather who got things done period
