Conflicts
• Piggy has a internal conflict with himself on his self-esteem, Man vs himself
• Piggy has a external conflict with Jack, his bully. Man vs Man
• All of the kid’s besides Ralph,Piggy and Simon has an external conflict with society by the lack of civilization, savagery, Man vs nature.
Foreshadowing
• Jack hates piggy, foreshadows his death• Jack gaining power, collapse of society• Simon curious about the beast, foreshadows

• When the boys set the island on fire to capture Ralph, readers expected that it was the end. Instead, the fire they started is what caused them to be rescued.
• Piggy vision is not well; he wears glasses. However, his intuition is stronger than anybody else on the island.
Plot Summary
• A plane carrying a group of boy’s from ages 6-12 crashed on an island in the Pacific Ocean
• The boy’s determine who leads them, Ralph leads the group because of his appearance
• The boy’s after awhile craft spears and go hunting.
• At night the boy’s see a figure in the sky and think it’s some sort of beast.
Theme
• The boy’s being 6-12 you expect nothing evil or cruel to happen, yet we find out how these kid’s could really become without civilization, salvagery would take place.
