Lord Jesus, you invite us to come to
you in our every need. Only you
can give meaning to our lives and
restore peace to our hearts. In the
midst of our daily life help us to
realise that you are beside us and
walk with us.
'THE FAITH CORNER'
Reminder if any in our parish are stuck and
need messages, things picked up etc. we have a
small team ready to go and do whatever is
needed, just send a message or ring St Joseph’s
and speak to Fr James.

our eyes upon heaven,
the only one goal of our labours.”

CORONAVIRUS SITUATION
Mass in the Churches
For mass to be open to the public, every precaution must be taken to make sure the
Church is as safe as possible and one of the measures to ensure this is that “a social
distancing measure of 2 metres should be observed. The capacity of the Church should
be calculated on this basis.” We are calculating these at present, but the capacities of the
three parish Churches will be greatly reduced. In considering the numbers and safe
provision it may not be possible to have mass in St MacNisssius’ Church, Tannaghmore
for the present.
Stewards are needed to assist with organizing the seating of people for mass and
cleaning of seats after mass. For weekend mass stewards will need to be prepared to give
2 hours and for weekday masses to give 1 hour. Hopefully this will be on a rota basis
depending on the number of volunteers. Training will be given. The role of the stewards
is vital for the provision of public mass and without stewards it will not be possible to
have mass.
The proposed schedule for mass is as follows:
From Mon 13th July Mass
St. Comgall’s - Mon, Wed & Fri @ 10am
St Joseph’s - Tues & Thurs @ 10am, Friday @ 7pm
Sunday Masses:
St Comgall’s - 10am
St Joseph’s: - 5.30pm Vigil (Sat) & 12noon
If you are willing to be a steward, please send an email to
[email protected] or phone 94428016 giving your name, contact details
and preference for availability to be a steward. In anticipation of your support, thank
you.
The opening of the Church for private prayer will end on Saturday 11th July.
Collections: Some Parishioners have asked how they can make their contributions for the support of
the Parish. The simplest way is by Standing Order with your bank. Parish Bank details are as follows:
Account Title: Parish of Antrim
Sort Code: 95-02-02 Account Number: 41020498
Postponement of Parish Draw
Due to the Covid 19 virus the next run of the Parish Draw has had to be postponed and will be
launched at a later date. Thank you to all our members and promoters for their loyal support over the
years.

Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
We pray for Pope Francis and the bishops priests and deacons who bring the Scriptures to us
and the words of Jesus to teach us how to live our lives as faithful Christians
Lord, hear us
We pray for our priests and those who assist them at this time to find a safe way to make it
possible for us to gather together in our churches again for Mass and Devotions. Lord teach
us to be patient and help in any way we can to make their task easier
Lord, hear us
We pray for those who are anxious or finding it hard to cope with the restrictions and
demands of keeping safe while the coronavirus is still with us. Lord, stay close to us at this
time
Lord, hear us
We pray for the sick and all who care for them in hospitals, Care Homes and in their own
homes. May Jesus who healed the sick and loved the poor and vulnerable keep close to them
and help them to cope
Lord, hear us
We pray for those who have died especially those whom we remember now :
All those named in the bulletin
may their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace with God where there is
no more pain or suffering; we pray for those who mourn that they may be consoled.
Lord, hear us
Priest: We come together in spirit to praise God, to thank him for the gift of life to ask for
his grace in our lives and to bring our needs to him humbly knowing that he loves us
Priest: Loving God hear these our prayers and our unspoken prayers which we bring to
you through your Son Jesus who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.
