All artists have different ways of presenting their music from how it sound, with the instruments that's are being used to how the actual vocals and tone of the song is going, this can be the case for any genre not just folk.

With creating folk music the artist all have their own unique way of establishing the genre to the audience it could be shown as a man performing the music, a woman or sometimes a band is able to create the music as they all work together with their different instrumental talents and vocal abilities. When creating music within folk music, it is usually always played live so that the instruments are able to be heard as they play through the song, the more people there are within one group allows the performer to be able to gain on the amount of instruments being used and possible creating a better song from it.

Also known as tom and jerry these two male folk artist are and American duo their names are Paul Simon and art Garfunkel. The group first formed together in 1957 and have been playing together ever since, they first rose into fame in 1962 with their hit single ‘ sound of silence’. Female folk artists are able to offer a way of presenting their music in a different way than a male folk artist would as female artists are able to hit more higher notes than a male artist allowing them to have more softer voices when singing as well as points in the song where they are able to make their voice levels get higher
