We would like to welcome all of our students back to the dance centre

for what promises to be another fantastic academic year for all of us.

During a busy and rewarding 2013/2014 season we were extremely

proud of all our students for their individual and group achievements.

Following a fantastic performance of “A Christmas Journey” at the Casa

de Cultura where we raised a substantial amount for the Children of

Emaus charity, we were very proud when our students achieved a 100%

pass rate in their individual stage and ballroom examinations. We are

looking forward to another successful and fun year with you all.

August, the Dance Centre will operate its

full schedule of classes from Saturday 6th

September. We look forward to

welcoming you all back.

Sequence Dancing

By special request we will be holding a Tea Dance every Thursday

afternoon from 4pm-6pm for lovers of sequence dancing. As well

as supplying tea and cakes during the afternoon we will be teaching

you a variety of sequence or old time dances. It is not necessary

to come with a partner, and even if you have never tried sequence

dancing before we are here to help you.

No need to be alone - come and make friends with other lovers of

sequence dance. Entrance is only 6 euros per person which also

includes afternoon tea. If you would like any more details ask

Phaedra or Marcia or one of our helpers.

Ballroom & Latin American Tea Dance

Why not come to our Tuesday Tea dance? You will be able to make

friends , old and new, whilst spending two fun filled hours dancing

to big band Ballroom and Latin American music as well as

enjoying afternoon tea and cakes. The Tuesday Tea dance is from

4pm-6pm and entrance is 6 euros per person, so come along and

soak up the atmosphere and practise your dancing.

You do not have to be dance experts, all dancers are welcome form

those with 2 left feet up to and including “Fred and Ginger”!!!!

You don’t even need a partner as there will always be someone

there to dance with you.

We have a wide variety of different dance classes to suit your taste and

needs. Below is just some of the special classes we operate throughout

Under 16’s Ballroom and Latin

American Dance Classes

We are holding classes in Ballroom and

Latin American Dancing every Saturday.

These classes are for children of all ages

for absolute beginners upwards and will be

covering all the standard dances. If you pay

monthly the fee for these classes is only 25

euros per month. Check timetable for times

of classes.

Ballroom dancing is a discipline that will

stay with you all your life from 3 to 90 and

beyond.

Hip Hop and Funky Jazz

The continuing popularity

of street dancing keeps

getting stronger and

stronger. If you want to

learn the latest hip hop and

funky moves then join

Phaedra for her classes

every Tuesday and

Thursday.

Its only 16 weeks until Christmas, so now is the perfect time to lose

some weight ready for the overindulging and sweet treats!! Join us at

various times throughout the week for hip wiggling, bottom jiggling,

belly toning fun and dance away those extra kilos.

Singing and Music Specialities

Its not just dancing that you can learn at the

Dance Centre, we also hold Singing lessons and

Music lessons including Piano and Guitar. If

you are interested in learning a new skill then

Phoenix Dancers

Do you have a friend that can sing

and dance that likes to perform,

and would like to join this dance

group?

The Phoenix Dancers are a group

of dancers and singers who

provide entertainment for charity

events. Since they have been

formed they have raised over

15,000 euros for various local

charities.

They rehearse every Saturday

afternoon here in the Dance Studio

and are already starting rehearsals

for our special Christmas Show.

Ballroom Dance Classes

Are you going on a cruise or

attending a special dance for

Christmas? Don’t feel out of it!

Come and learn to dance!

We are holding a special 12 week

course commencing on Tuesday

October the 7th at 8pm. You will be

learning to Waltz, Quick step,

foxtrot, tango, cha cha cha, rock ‘n

roll, paso doble and all the other

dances that are needed for the

festive season.

It is not necessary to have a partner.

You can still come and join in the

fun. We look forward to seeing you
