Periodic literacy assessments to determine student need (ACT
Aspire)
RABS (using I-Station)
Literacy interventionist utilizing Read 180 and Input Technology
teacher utilizing System 44 programs for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade
students struggling in literacy and ELL population.
Teachers trained and implementing Literacy Lab.
Implementing grade level PLC (professional learning committees) to

Measurable Data ACT Aspire periodic assessments will be given and
disaggregated to determine student interventions and needs.
Pre and post math tests will be given to determine student
learning and growth.
Classroom focus walks and observations will be conducted
and individual feedback will be given.
ACT Aspire exam to be given in April/May.
Beginning, Middle, and End of year data from DRA, DSA,
STAR, DIBELS, SRI, and other screeners.
Curriculum and Technology Arkansas State Standards will be implemented in all
classrooms.
Comprehensive Literacy Model; Literacy Lab; Orton Gillingham
Math in Focus, Engage New York, and CGI
National Geographic Science, including weekly labs.

Students earn behavior rewards using Class Dojo.
Students who only lose 3 or less Dojo points per week attend Rockin Rabbit Recess
Activity teacher class awards (Golden Shoe, Golden Key, etc).
Principal Spirit Stick
Rabbit Rovers Dads, granddads, uncles, etc. who volunteer to hang out at the school and serve as
mentors or helpers for the day.
Fund raising (This year’s efforts will go towards an awning.)
Field trips
Various informational programs (Empower Me, drug awareness, fire safety, bus safety, freedom week, cyber bullying, Bullying Awareness Day)

LHS Baseball Team will serve as student mentors twice a week.

School Safety
Every month we conduct fire drills
We also utilize our Safe Room with at least 4 tornado drills per year
All outside doors and classroom doors remain locked throughout the school day
Our school utilizes, “Hall Pass” which requires: all visitors must be buzzed in and enter through the school office, have their drivers’ license scanned, and receive a visitors pass
A detailed school map was created for first responders, fire department, and police.
An active shooter drill will be conducted during second semester with state and local police forces.
We have installed security cameras throughout our building, and we utilize car tags and HallPass visitor system.

Parent Information Our school invites all parents to participate in our parent advisory
committee.
Parents, teachers, and students evaluated, modified, and updated
our school handbook which includes, but is not limited to, our
discipline policy, homework policy, attendance policy, Smart Core,
and parental involvement plan.
Parents serve on our School Leadership Team and interview
committees.
Teachers utilize Class Dojo, Facebook, and Remind to
communicate with parents.
