GENERAL NOTES

Situation Greensides Farm lies north east of Longnor and has access from Glutton Bridge and also south from the Buxton Racetrack arena. From Buxton and Ladmanlow take the A53 towards Leek and after approximately 1 ½ miles take the first left (before Brandside) continue down the lane over three cattle grids passing two woods on the left and adjoining the racetrack fence bear right on the tarmac road. Continue for approximately ¾ mile with Greensides Farm lying on the left (back on the open fields). From the A515 at Brierlow Bar pick up the Longnor and Earl Sterndale Road towards Glutton Bridge after approximately 3 ½ miles having passed through Earl Sterndale adjoining the phone box at Glutton Bridge (before the county boundary) turn right. Follow the single track tarmac lane passing Dowell Hall and continue up the narrow tarmacked lane for approximately 3 miles (over four cattle grids with Greensides Farm lying on the right on the open field area.) SALE GOERS BEWARE-the single track road from Dowell Hall is extremely narrow and purchasers are encouraged to use the top road from the A53 as this gives better access and is wider. ‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

Export Purchasers – All goods must be paid for in pounds sterling (£).

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

Buyers Premium – No buyers premium will be payable at this sale.

Loading Facilities – Loading Facilities will be available on site up until approximately 5pm on sale day.

Machine Hours – Machine hours have been taken as at Wednesday 14th March 2018. These are given for information purposes only and are not guaranteed by the Auctioneers. Loading It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for the safe loading & transport of all and any purchases. Bagshaws are under no obligation to provide assistance in loading but on occasion they will do their best to help provided that it is not putting themselves, the purchaser or other people at risk of injury. For large, heavy and unwieldy items, specialist loading and transportation will be required for example bulk bins and tanks. The decision made by Bagshaws will be final.

FOREWORD

This genuine dispersal sale arises as a result of the untimely death of Mr Stuart Bagnall and many will know that all the livestock has been dispersed from the holding. The farm is now being marketed via the Bakewell branch of Bagshaws and this leaves a range of equipment for genuine dispersal on the holding. There is a large range of galvanised cattle and sheep equipment including hurdles and gates together with two excellent IAE cattle crushes both with steel galvanised floors. Purchasers should attend and bid at the many and varied lots at this genuine unreserved event.
