Layout

The store is split into two areas - a front corner section that is accessible from Long Street, and a back section accessible from Leeuwen Street.

In 2014 the store was used as a WDC2014 pop-up shop. The front section was used to retail products made by local designers and the back section was used to make and sell food. The combination of food and product was key in attracting customers.

If you are a ‘non-food’ applicant try to think about how to integrate a food element into your concept. Could you collaborate someone else to offer this? Would a strong partnership strengthen your application?
