This was a urgent need for a quick turn-around on a 500kw Standby diesel generator, Our SPVD-5000 Volvo powered standby diesel generator �t the need. The project was for a high- rise hotel installation in Long Island City, Queens, NY.

The dilemma was the customer had a last-minute size change to the generator for this project. Gillette reacted immediately going to work to meet the project’s deadline of having the generator on site in 4 weeks.

There were several factors that again made Gillette the right choice.

#1. Delivery timeline. Customer needed the generator on site in 4 weeks. Gillette was able to step up and deliver.

#2. Another requirement was the need for 4 separate breakers to be installed to accommodate the various sub-feed panels for the building’s emergency backup needs. Gillette met that challenge by providing an engineered solution to ensure all 4 breakers were installed at the factory which is a very challenging endeavor due to the fabrication involved to ensure proper form, �t and function in a very tight space, where most ven-dors pass on these types of installations, Gillette’s dedicated team of engineers and pro-duction sta� are more than willing to take on these types of challenging builds and deliv-ery deadlines with no hesitation.

The overall project was a great success, Once again proving that Gillette Generators is here to meet the needs of our dealer/customers on a daily basis. Providing solutions for your di�cult installations and timelines when possible.
