Da ng back to at least 1106, Southwark Cathedral is the 

oldest cathedral church building in London. There had 

been some kind of church since 606, and archaeological 

evidence shows there was Roman pagan worship here 

well before that.

Remains of Winchester Palace, once home to bishops, it contained a brewhouse, bowling alley, tennis court and
