    Mayors oreword

This implementation plan sets out the eort requiredby a variety o organisations and individuals in order todevelop Londons ood sector in a way that contributesto achieving my vision o London as a sustainable world-class city. I want to promote diverse and healthy dietsamong Londoners, capitalising on the amazing array o

cuisines that have become established through Londonslong history o being open to the world. Greater demandor antastic, healthy ood on the plate can be linked toimprovements in the way in which ood is produced anddistributed. Priority projects include work to reduce theimpact o the ood system on climate change, increase theamount o seasonal, locally-sourced ood in London, divertcommercial ood waste rom going to landfll and celebrate

the diversity o Londons ood cultures in ways which willalso help to strengthen the capitals economy.Ken Livingstone, Mayor o London
