LOLA Female Age: 2 1/2 (DOB 2/24/14) 21 lbs Extremely loving and snuggly! Mild heart murmur (G2), overall healthy Adopon donaon: $600 It’s prey obvious this is one beauful girl! She’s just as sweet and loving and nothing makes her happier than being held and snuggled, and covered with kisses. Lola ‘s previous owner realized this sweet girl needed some extra aenon and a bit of training when she started to exhibit “resource guarding” behavior. When it comes to “special” things, like socks, underwear, toilet paper rolls, and some toys, Lola chooses to protect them and if you try to take them away she may growl and nip at that item to “keep it”. Unfortunately this can also mean your hand can get in the way, or one of a child who does not understand how to manage this behavior. Her previous home had young children coming and going and it was not the best situaon for the family or Lola, so we were entrusted to help this Angel find a more suitable home where her behavior can be easily managed. We have had a great deal of success in dealing with this while in foster care and her new family will need to connue managing this to insure Lola is always a ‘good” girl. She has learned to respond to verbal commands reliably when she is tempted to get an item that is not suitable for her. She has not shown this behavior towards other dogs, only with people. We have successful- ly traded love and aenon on many occasions for an item she felt was valuable. What we have learned about Lola is that she values love and aenon above all other “things”. She is a won- derful girl and this issue has been well managed and will be as long as her new family follows a few simple guidelines. It’s not reasonable to expect young children to understand this so we are seeking an adult only home for Lola Lola is playful and loves toys. She likes to chew so we’ve made sure she has toys that are durable as well as nyla-bones and split antlers to sasfy that urge. She is a very good girl and has not chewed on anything inappropriate. She is also very curious, and when in a new place, will sniff every corner of every room to take inventory of her surroundings. Lola does not like to be alone and will make it known if you leave her. She does sele down however and is very happy to greet you when you return. We have seen this improve while in foster care but would expect this to take some adjustment me in a new home unl she feels secure. While Lola has been really good about going outside to poy, she is not a huge fan of being in the yard, and parcularly does not like to walk on wet grass. She will walk the perimeter of the yard on the landscape curbing like a gymnast on a balance beam. She is so silly! This girl will be quite content with or without a fenced yard. Lola loves to eat (almost as much as she loves geng kisses) At 21 pounds, she needs lose a few so we have been feeding her a high quality weight management food along with green beans. She loves blueberries and carrots as treats and we expect she will be at her ideal weight of around 18 pounds in no me at all. Her new family will need to take care to make sure Lola keeps her perfect figure. Lola is sweet, loving, gorgeous girl who just wants to be loved by her humans. It’s pretty obvious this is one beautiful girl! She’s just as sweet and loving and nothing makes her happier than being held and snuggled, and covered with kisses.

Lola ‘s previous owner realized this sweet girl needed some extra attention and a bit of training when she started to exhibit “resource guarding” behavior. Her previous home had young children coming and going and it was not the best situation for the family or Lola, so we were entrusted to help this Angel find a more suitable home

where her behavior can be easily managed.

We have had a great deal of success in dealing with this while in foster care and her new family will need to continue managing this to insure Lola is always a ‘good” girl. She has learned to respond to verbal commands reliably when she is tempted to get an item that is not suitable for her. She has not shown this behavior towards other dogs, only with people. We have successful-ly traded love and attention on many occasions for an item she felt was valuable. What we have learned about Lola is that she values love and attention above all other “things”. She is a won-derful girl and this issue has been well managed and will be as long as her new family follows a few simple guidelines. It’s not reasonable to expect young children to understand this so we are seeking an adult only home for Lola

Lola is playful and loves toys. She likes to chew so we’ve made sure she has toys that are durable as well as nyla-bones and split antlers to satisfy that urge. She is a very good girl and has not chewed on anything inappropriate. She is also very curious, and when in a new place, will sniff every corner of every room to take inventory of her surroundings.

Lola does not like to be alone and will make it known if you leave her. She does settle down however and is very happy to greet you when you return. We have seen this improve while in foster care but would expect this to take some adjustment time in a new home until she feels secure.

While Lola has been really good about going outside to potty, she is not a huge fan of being in the yard, and particularly does not like to walk on wet grass. She will walk the perimeter of the yard on the landscape curbing like a gymnast on a balance beam. She is so silly! This girl will be quite content with or without a fenced yard.

Lola loves to eat (almost as much as she loves getting kisses) At 21 pounds, she needs lose a few so we have been feeding her a high quality weight management food along with green beans. She loves blueberries and carrots as treats and we expect she will be at her ideal weight of around 18 pounds in no time at all. Her new family will need to take care to make sure Lola keeps her perfect figure.

Lola is sweet, loving, gorgeous girl who just wants to be loved by her humans. If you feel you’re a match for Lola, please complete our Adoption Application and contact us at [email protected] to express your interest. Lola is located in Birmingham, Alabama and her minimum requested adoption donation is $600.
