Pine Road School and Salon La Vogue stylists participate in the annual
Locks of Love Event.
On February 4th, Pine Road held its annual Locks of Love event, organized by Librarian Ellen Zschunke. Fifteen students and family members had their hair cut off by stylists from Salon La Vogue, which is owned by a Lower Moreland parent. Afterward their hair was styled free of charge. Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization that helps children who suffer from long-term medical hair loss. The donated hair is made into hairpieces that would otherwise cost thousands of dollars to purchase. During the many years of this event, the District has had 131 volunteers have their hair cut for a total of 1,310 inches of hair.
