• Usually 1 - 3 students living with each family
• All the rooms are single and a small number have
private ensuite bathrooms
• Families provide breakfast and evening meal
although we have a small selection of self-catering
options available for older students
• All our host families are regularly inspected
• All host families offer wireless broadband throughout
their house
• Many families offer the flexible option to stay during
Easter, Christmas, and half term holidays
Host Families
• 7 students, girls only
• 5 single rooms and one double (shared) room
• Shared bathroom facilities
• 5 minutes by bus to the main sixth form building
• Breakfast and evening meal provided daily
• Residential Houseparent
• Communal facilities include sitting room, kitchen
dining area and large garden
• All rooms have wi-fi access
• Curfew 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday, Friday &
Saturday 11.30pm (for over 16s)
• Students can usually stay over half term, or the
school holidays
Benson’s Residence
• 18 students, boys and girls, in separate parts of the house
• 14 single and 2 double (shared) rooms
• Shared bathroom facilities
• A few minutes’ walk from the main sixth form building
• Breakfast and evening meal provided daily
• Residential Houseparent
• Communal facilities include common room, dining room,
large garden and laundry room
• All rooms have wi-fi access
• Study period Monday to Thursday 7 - 9pm
• Curfew 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday, Friday & Saturday
11.30pm (for over 16s)
• Students cannot stay over half term, or the school
holidays, although a host family can be arranged
Hayfield House
• 20 students, boys and girls, in separate parts of the house
• All rooms are shared (doubles)
• All rooms with ensuite bathroom
• 2 minutes’ walk to Swan building (main Sixth Form
building), 10 minutes’ walk to Ewert Place (Sciences & Art
building) and shops
• Breakfast and evening meal provided daily
• Residential Houseparent
• Communal facilities include common room, dining room,
large garden and laundry room
• All rooms have wi-fi access
• Study period Monday to Thursday 7 - 9pm

• Brand new, purpose-built building
• Right across the road from the main sixth form building
• Up to 60 A level students
• Double shared bedrooms all with private en-suite

• Separate girls and boys sides of the house with a
communal area connecting the two
• Up to 4 residential members of staff
• All meals provided daily in the main school building
(lunches are optional)
