Vidin is a town in north-west Bulgaria on the right bank of Danube River about 200 km to the north of the capital of the country – Sofia. To the west, the Vidin municipality borders on Serbia and Montenegro, and to the north, Romania. Vidin is one of the oldest towns on the Bulgarian Danube bank. Vidin will soon open a new bridge, allowing the city to expand rapidly, as this will be the second only bridge linking the North-South transportation across the Danube River.
