Location ReportsTrailer Production

This is the street that I will film the shots of Lauren

walking on. I have checked the location for any hazards

and I am happy that it is suitable and safe to film on. The shots will be at night to

add a more suspicious feeling to the shot as she is meant to

be being watched by the murderer. The street is also fairly quiet which means it is unlikely that there will be an

interruption while filming.

Street

I will be using a school classroom for the detectives office as the

majority of shots in this location are close ups so therefore the

surrounding area of the whiteboard will not be visible. I

have checked to see if the area is suitable before hand and have set

up the props to see what it will look like. I am pleased with this outcome of this location as I feel it will depict a detective’s office

well in my film trailer.

Detective’s Office

This is the garage I will use to stage the kidnap. Again, it will be dark which will allow me to

need lighting. This is also a good place for me to do the

close ups of the characters as the background will barely be

visible, making their face stand out. The area will allow

me to make the shots look creepy and add suspense to the whole trailer as I will film as it’s getting dark, making

the location look abandoned.

Garage (For Kidnap)

I have chosen this as the location of the murder and

although it is the same place as the garage, these shots will be done at night so the locations

will look different. I feel that this place is suitable as it is quite

and it is unlikely that there will be any interruptions while

filming. There is also enough room to set up my location and

to get the right distance between the actors and the

camera/tripod.

Location of Murder

This is where I will film the over the shoulder shot of the

murderer standing behind the victim reflected in the

mirror. There is enough room for me to stand far enough back from the actors and fit the tripod in to hold up the camera. I think this location is suitable as it looks like a natural environment which

enables the film to look more realistic.
